TVs high on walls

I have our TV on the wall but looked up best practice for placement of it and measured distance from sofa, height of seat and then placed the TV just slightly above what it would have been if on the supplied stand.

Though, yes I have seen some people places TVs up too high and wonder how they don't suffer from stiff necks. BHiXy9o.jpeg

Like the style of this. Really nice (especially the plants!)

Nice setup, my partner didn't want us to have separate speakers, so I got a decent soundbar for music and movies.

I do like the shelves on the left and the plants.
Its a bit busy. I need to tidy up under the unit. Ideally wanted to put the centre speaker in the unit but it sounded too low.
I need to change that ugly basket!

Next TV will go on the wall.
I love plants and really, would love to have a wall! Some of them are quite pricey!

A lot of people don't like separates. And I get it. But I like the look. As long as they look good (and have to say MA speakers always look good!) but trailing the cables around for the rears is annoying!

I'm with you Cheesefest and a moan I can empathise with.
If I want to upset the wife I just say I'm thinking of putting a 65" above the fire surround.
Personally I don't like them up there and prefer the eyeline when I'm sitting on the sofa.
When I go the pub to watch a match I have to stand up because they're always mounted high.

I set mine up so the bottom of the TV is just above our feet (the plane of our feet at least) when we are fully reclined.

Wall mounted (but only because the legs wouldn't sit on the cabinet) so mounted at the height it would have been if it was sat in the cabinet

Looks very serene and that reminds me to get the F&M basket down from the loft :D

Now you just need to replace the Amazon Show 15 with a proper sized TV.

I find wall mounted televisions very council estate.
Normally done by people who occupy a badly put together new build, have leased cars along the lines of a RangeRover Evoque, and holiday repeatedly to the same place in Spain on a budget airline carrier.

How very sweeping of you. And lol bringing social class into how one chooses to set up their televisions in their homes! :D
