Type R and VTEC owners

The only time I didn't like the AD08's was below 3mm, but that's pretty standard accross all tyres.

I still maintain that the F1A2 is a fantastic all round tyre, it can be a little soft, yes, but it's cold/wet performance is superb. I ran them in the winter and I ran the AD08 in the summer.

Second tank just over 48 mpg, measured using an app from fill to fill. OBC said 45.5 I think. It was pretty much just work and back, so a straight 80 miles a day. I've put BP Ultimate diesel in it now to see if it makes any difference at all.

48.5 with Ultimate. I've just filled it up with Morrison's. It's great being able to do over 600 miles on a single tank. Haven't driven the S2000 in over a week.

Seems pretty poor for a 4 cylinder diesel. Is it quite a congested commute?

Yes, 30/40/50 mph changing all the time, junctions, tractors, slow drivers, overtakes and don't forget my lead foot.

The Focus (100ps) was getting the same, but had a smaller tank so I was filling it up once every 5 working days. The Accord which has 150ps has a larger tank and I get around 7-8 working days between fill ups. More comfortable, more toys, more power and a much better engine, and I feel like it's more economical due to the increased time between fill ups. :)

In all fairness, I put 20k miles of the above driving on the Focus and apart from a few minor things, it lapped it all up.

If the sound in that video is anything to go by then it sounds pretty decent. Can imagine it being drony though unless they're using some form of flappy exhaust technology.

The S2000 is booked in at Performance Autoworks on Monday to get the new exhaust fitted and it's having some other bits done, oil changes etc.

Great guys there, I only use them.

I also like Powerstation, can't complain at the service I've had there, but I wanted someone who knows a little more about S2000's (not that PS don't!). Ordinarily I would only use TGM as I have been for years, but PA were great with my Evo and they're only 30 minutes up the road rather than almost 2 hours to Fleet.

They were soft on my ATR, and other ATR owners at the time agreed that they didn't have the sidewall stiffness that Type R's seem to require.

I've never used the A046/8 so wouldn't know, but have seen AD08 compared to RE070.

I went to Performance Autoworks today to have my new exhaust & decat fitted. While it was there I asked for a once over, some fluid changes and a geo check/tweak.

The exhaust quality is top notch, no fitting issues at all and it sits really well on the bumper.

Noise wise it's excellent. The video makes it sound much louder and raspier than what it actually is. Sat on the motorway there is no drone unless doing between 2-3k rpm, so just sit in a slightly higher gear. But doing 70-80 mph it's fine and not too different than stock. At normal revs when making progress there is a smooth kind of tone to it, almost like the car has more than 4 cylinders. I'm very pleased with it.

I'll try and get more pics over the next few weeks.
