Type R and VTEC owners

if he wasn't 3 hours away I'd would have gone and had a look at it.

Just checked insurance prices for these, mid 2013 prices were £1500+, just checked, prices have gone down to under £1000 for me, So now its a choice of either one of these or a Z4 3.0, i'm slightly leaning towards an S2000.

Got some pics for you SS! Better late than never. http://s200.photobucket.com/user/TimBBB/library/NHB EP3

The door pic is showing the repainted door handle inserts.
It needs a few bits doing to it after having a good look over today. One of the headlight brackets is broken, rear left calliper is sticking and the alloys could do with a refurb. Need a set of mats too.

Looks good mate. Seems clean! Did you paint the handle inserts yourself? The ones in my current EP3 are worn and was thinking of spraying them myself.

I may have a spare rear left caliper in my garage for you if you havent bought one already? I'll double check and let you know as it could be driver side aswell? :)

Oh let me know on the calliper buddy, definitely interested.

Yeah rubbed them down and gave them a coat of vogue silver which I had left over from the CRX, it's a good match. They just clip out from the back, really simple job.

It's not a professional job by any means. I didn't put a great deal of prep work in, or even primer/lacquer them. I'm tempted to clip them back out and put a coat of lacquer on but to be honest these things don't scratch unless you open the door with a bunch of keys in your hand, or your ring on your finger catches it.

After (This was painted the day I bought the car, so it's lasted a month so far:p)

Looks like a good match for standard ones. I dont need to do mine anymore as I sold the EP3 today so I've only just got both my FN2's now :)

This the one I sold:

Here's the little pocket rocket I was talking about. Not bad for an 02 with 140k is it? Doesn't seem to be any paint fade anywhere. :)

Anyone know what the private plate stands for?

S.S how much did your ep3 sell for? I'm sure I asked before but maybe imagining things.

Anyone a current paid member on ATR.org? The forum doesnt seem particularly active and I don't fancy paying £15 for nothing. Is it worth joining? Planning on sticking the ATR in for a major service this month and just looking for some fluid/spec recommendations for diff and a few other bits and pieces.

Do you mean accordr? Just give Andy at VTECDirect a call, he'll give advice. Great chap.

Well it was a clean car but then again it was 12 years old. I sold the Scorpion exhaust and induction so made money through there aswell. There was a tiny dent on the passenger door, age related scuff/scratches on body work, tiny dent on rear bumper, rear wiper missing, passenger side skirt scratched and missing clips.

Mileage was about to touch 140k aswell, I had it up for sale for £2200 and sold it for £1900 for a quick sale, all the stuff was minor anyway and mechanically it was perfect. Aim was £2000 but not complaining over £100 as I made money back from scorpion cat back and K&N induction aswell :)

Need to advertise my silver FN2 now.

That isn't a bad price. It did look in decent nick for the age. Still how long do k20's last till failures? 140k does seem a lot, but knowing Honda reliability, it probably isn't for the engine.

If the engine is looked after, they'll go on forever. There is a member over on CTRO forums who has a 2002 EP3 with 225,000 on the clock and he only just had the original clutch changed recently, no other issues with the car.

I could have got more for this car but I couldn't be arsed waiting around anymore as I've got 4 other car's at the moment aswell including my two fn2's. You know you want the silver one :p

Wouldn't mind a FN. As long as it's Milano Red. ;)

I won't be changing my car anytime soon as like I said before, got my monies tied up elsewhere. I'll know who to come to if I need a FN.

Milano Red you say? ;)

Unfortunately, Not selling this one yet. Found out today that the car has Eibach 15mm lowering springs installed, FRSU has been done by TDI north plus it has the miltek resonated exhaust fitted, Genuine Honda aux kit fitted along with bluetooth. Seller didn't mention any of this stuff. Bonus! :D
