Type R and VTEC owners

I wish you'd read my posts.

I had MZ's on the rear, I now have S001's. I did 7500 miles with MZ's on the rear before they needed replacing, from the summer last year to the other week so I know what they are like in all conditions.

I am running non MZ RE050 on the front, and I don't like them. My car understeers on most corners if I push it and the steering is wooly. I want to replace them with RE002's but my local fitter are trying to pull my pants down on price.

How is 'I personally don't rate them' a blanket statement?

Depends on the application

Perfect for the fn2, for example

I had them on the Evo, and while they gripped well they kinda ruined the drive of it. I put AD08's back on as soon as the bad weather was over and sold the F1A2's.

Mine is starting to show signs underneath. Nothing substantial, and nothing around the arches. So I've got it booked in for a full underseal at TGM. It's not the sort of thing an ordinary car owner would be looking for so I can understand why some end up being quite bad.

PDR dude has just de-dinged the S, pleased with the outcome.

Not pleased with the overly paranoid parking that's to come for months now. :D

Interested in price as well. I paid Dent Devils nigh on £100 for one dent on my crease line. I've got a couple more now further to the rear of the car.

Local guy to me, guy called Bryn Price - Price PDR is is company.

None of dents were severe, mostly shallow and the odd sharper one. He took care of:

  • Cluster of dents on drivers rear quarter, high near door where people have levered themselves out of the car. Say 8-10 shallow.
  • Same on the passenger, but about half as much.
  • Ding on driver's door swage, and a 2 inch shallow push dent.
  • Passenger front wing where lower flat edge meets curve.
  • £150 all in, and he was there for 3-4 hours I'd say.
He managed to push the vast majority out with irons, and then tap down. The quarter panels he had to resort to glue as there's no access to the back of the panel due to the way they're double skinned. It was that or he had to start drilling holes in the arches and I wasn't too hot on that.

Cheers chap, may have to enquire with them.

It's not so good through the winter. :D

Been thinking about buying a cheap RAV 4 to do the winter duty. Can also throw my bike into the back rather than using a rack on the S2000.

Simon put up a vid a page or so ago. The guy who uploaded it has uploaded another, of his best time.

Very well driven. Fox hole and Adenauer Forst are impressively dealt with.
