Type R and VTEC owners

Timed my test drive perfectly. I drive past Honda on my way to hockey on Saturday mornings so I'm showing up at 9am for a go in their demo. The roads around there are dead when I drive past every week so although I will look like a right keeno turning up as they open, I should get a decent 20 mins in the car without getting stuck behind Saturday dawdlers.

They were a bit fussy about giving me a test drive at first which I found odd. Gave them my details and the sales guy was like, "oh we service your S2000, yeah that's fine then".

Same thing with me, on the phone they were like "oh we just dont let anyone test drive the car, end of the day it is a 300bhp car and you have to be 25 or over". I was like I'm over 25 and have two super charged fn2's and his tone changed completely and asked me to come in straight away:rolleyes:

I saw one at a jap meet on Tuesday, looked ok, not keen on the rear though, it needs to be wider or flared, something about it doesnt look right. It also had small tyres on the rear, 235. Still prefer my 20 year old supra :)

But but I'm 21 and have an fn2? :( (I don't really :p)

Me too :p

Well my Type R is delayed yet again. Was supposed to get it today, but now delayed until 28th August. Told them may as wait till 1st Sept and give it me on a new plate.

Really getting annoyed now

For those that didn't see.

1. Dealer put in the right order, Honda built the wrong car (non GT version)
2. Honda put hands up immediately, offered my 5 years servicing plus loads of other goodies and found me a pre-ordered press car in the build line.
3. I am in a loaner new Civic FOC until they supply the car.
4. Delayed till 10th August, now till 28th (1st Sept)

Really gutted and annoyed. I just want my Type R

Not unusual for a new car unfortunately

I wouldn't hold out much hope for the late August/September date either - normal turnaround for a new order (even though it was a mistake) is 3 months+

TBH I am not holding out much hope either. Only glimmer of light is that before it was not showing on their delivery system, now the car is on the system for the 28th August delivery.

So annoyed with them as I have handed in my fully spec'd out Civic lease car over 2 weeks ago for the 1st delivery date.
Worst still is every time I go in, I see my non GT Type R on display as no one wants it.

FYI : If you are after Red NON GT Type R : Honda Crewe have 2 of them incorrectly built.

That's HUK and Swindon for you, run by a bunch of muppets now :D. None of this would have happened in the 90's and early 00's when they had good management team and workforce.
