I am afraid, as I suspected from the start, but kept my feelings to myself, Tyre would be found to be not as well rounded a citizen as his name sugests, and the actions of the police were probably based on this knowledge.
Wait, Tyre shot at the police? I thought we still didn't really know why he was pulled over short of some rumours?
Ah so he's probably got a parking ticket or something and that's the reason that it was fair game to beat him to death
That always seems to be your go to "oh the person killed had a record, so it was fine for the police to shoot them in the back/beat them to death/strangle them"
The police aren't meant to be Judge Dredd, and Dredd was meant to be a satire and a warning on policing, not an aim.
I think there’s some confusion.
The guy who shot at police and took a beating after giving himself up is a different case which was mentioned on the previous page (or a couple of pages back if you’re not using man-sized pages).
Unless I’ve missed something, we still don’t know why Tyre was pulled over or if he had a criminal record.
No it's the other guy somebody linked a video to.
That misunderstood person shot at the Police, ran in a supermarket or similar, he was chased in there and the cops pinned him down, roughed him up because they wanted to know where the gun was.
What they should have done was invite him back to the Police station, offer him tea & cakes and hopefully he would have told them.
Yes he shot at them, they stormed the building with heavier weaponry.
The guy was not armed at the time and was cooperating with officers, he got a boot to the head against tiles and then gun butted to the head, this surely will have a massive impact on the person being detained as they could have been concussed during those assaults, making your point of getting information out of them useless.
If they are concussed from being assaulted by you, you cannot expect them to follow your commands directly.
Back to the point of the gun missing, well he was not a threat at the time and was cooperating, nothing wrong with arresting him without stomping on his head and then performing a search on him and then search of local area for the weapon in question. Assaulting him in the manner they did, increases the risk of not finding the weapon.
As someone who works within a hospitals, I expected a bit of compassion when it came to assaulting an individual and then demanding information from them.I'm so glad the World is not run by people like you, he deserved everything he got.
Play with fire and you get burnt.
Go and super glue your hand to the road or harass Cops as a Freeman of the Land.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT TYRE NICHOLS
As for world not run by me, you clearly think of me as some words that I wont mention, you can call me them directly if you got the nuts. Maybe you are just salty that views like your own are on the decline. Who knows, maybe your view will change when you have a real bad exchange with the police yourself.

You probably think the police were justified to put a gun in the mouth of suspects and beat the **** out them to get "confessions" with the Birmingham 6 and Guildford 4. None of this namby pamby treatment suspects get today, get back to the good old days where they either confess or they get the **** kicked out of them until they confess.
The police aren't judge, jury and executioner. Their job is to act within the law and kicking the **** out of a suspect isn't legal. If they'll do it to this guy they'll do it to Tyre, in their eyes its the same thing.
What campaigners blocking traffic has to do with this I'm not sure, maybe you feel the police should be kicking the **** out of them as well, I wouldn't be surprised at this point.
Why do you think we are up for giving them fast food and luxury services? I have not once said that is what criminals deserve. What I have said is that if cooperating and not a threat, there is no need to take your own form of justice, regardless of the crime, they will get their justice and time in jail.No I didn't, those 2 cases were awful for the men, their families and the families of the victim's.
This case is different, man shoots at Police, he's very lucky he wasn't killed
You would have taken him McDonalds and talked to him nicely without raising your voice

So are you going to admit that your bias has shown through and you jumped to the wrong conclusion, or you've based your conclusion on something you can't confirm?
Or is it another post-and-run by Chris "I'm not racist" Wilson?
Dont matter, if you are not professional enough to do the job, dont do it or get fired. These threads are always a hilarious read, absolute popcorn material.
I do wonder if those defending the thuggery (guy with the gun firing at officers for example), could even begin to imagine what it's like spending a week policing the awful areas where these incidents happen frequently. Pretty sure that they would have a different outlook afterwards.
