Tyre Nichols murder

Irish Tom and someone else explained the confusion, I read it as this Tyre fellow had shot at the police. Apparently he didn't, no doubt in due course it will come to light just what sort of chap he was.

I have said, several times on these forums, that I prefer some races over others, I make zero apologies for that and genuinely see such a bias as no better nor worse than preferring some makes of car, or some breeds of dogs.

The liberal left have cottoned onto "racist" as a catch all condemnation of people who have the nous to read crime statistics and not be swayed by their bullying and cajoling into putting themselves at needless financial or physical risk by nonetheless embracing those who have historically given them grief.

If that make me a racist in your opinion, fine, it's water off a duck's back.

I think you're afraid of change, and people that are different, because of what it means to culture and society.

Don't particularly care though, everyone has some bias towards or against something or someone.

These threads are always a hilarious read, absolute popcorn material.

I do wonder if those defending the thuggery (guy with the gun firing at officers for example), could even begin to imagine what it's like spending a week policing the awful areas where these incidents happen frequently. Pretty sure that they would have a different outlook afterwards.

Show me the posts where anyone has defended the "thuggery" of the guy who shot at police, unless you mean the thuggery of the officers who he surrendered to.

Yeah its been a month but now they are suddenly going to find out he was a criminal black man because in your eyes they all are

I'll give you this, at least you are open that you are a racist and you seem proud of it. Its nothing to be proud of son.

Another day, another person (black man in this case) dead due to police brutality, another opportunity for race grifters to make money, politicians to tug at heart strings with empty speeches, newspapers to drive more division in society and threads for us to boost our post counts in.

I can't help but wonder, if people had treated George Floyds case as an issue with police training and the quality of officers. If people had focussed on trying to solve that rather than exploiting it as opportunity for race grifters to sow more division, would Tyre be alive today. Makes you wonder.

Doesn't mean much coming from the guy who thinks Racism and Xenophobia is okay if a person feels like they have a justified reason.

At least he's honest about being a racist, better than the snakes who pretend they ain't.

I agree with this. The issue was criminally negligent behaviour by the policeman in the Floyd case, regardless of Floyd's race.

Better training (and monitoring) of the police is needed.

I am not saying racism is not an issue, just that maybe the priority should be procedural training for police. A rising tide, and all that.

As @Chuk_Chuk said, at least you're honest.

Completely ignore this if i'm barking up the wrong tree but, aren't you a churchgoer?

The obviously either think or are being told they have a chance to beat the case no pun intended. You’re innocent until proven guilty, unless you tell them you’re guilty.

Why would they do this?

It's plain as day that they murdered him and no jury is going to think otherwise, so why?
There's zero upside to pleading guilty unless they cut a deal with the prosecutor so might as well take the very slim chance of a trial

That will be it, they're probably hoping that by pleading not guilty now they'll either get a good deal, or that they'll get a chance at either winning at trial or potentially be able to argue for a mistrial or something.
