Ubisoft FarCry 5 'are you ready' thread just shown up....

Meh not paying £40 :p

In no rush anyway as replaying some old games so want to get them out of the way first + I still need to finish of AC:O

I'm holding off as well. I recently bought Origins and don't want to give Ubisoft too much money:D

Don't suppose anyone has tried playing this on the steam link with a ps4 controller? Wouldn't mind chilling in bed playing this when I'm not on rb6

My main issue with the gameplay even though I'm having a blast is that everything you do mostly contributes to Resistance points. This means you can rapidly reach the leader of a county by maxing out the resistance meter just by messing around such as I have as I type this. I am only 7hrs in so far and I'm about to face him down. I hope the meters are larger for the other leaders.

I've not tried FC5, but don't see any reason it wouldn't work. I'll give it a go tonight and will report back if no one else replies before hand.

On Kinguin, they have some kinda own market for unwanted/unused keys.
Basically, you can buy and then sell keys if for some reason you dont want it etc.
I guess i got lucky to get FC5 for such price and was in right time at right time
Ah ok thanks - I stay clear of that place! £40 on CDKEYs. It is tempting for the co-op...

What is the multiplayer like? I have no experience of any Far Cry MP mode... I'm really hoping they bring out a Battle Royale mode for this :D

Heads up if you pay on cdkeys with Apple Pay you get a 20% discount from memory.

I paid 36 quid for it when it was at lower price through this way

Does not compute? its £40 (£39.99) at the moment so with 20% off makes it £32...

GMG are doign 20% any edition of FC5 for new customers.

Just tried it and it only takes the 20% off the full price: £49.99 - 20% (£10) = £39.99, so not such a good offer after all as they are selling it for £42.49 anyway, ends up the same price as cdkeys

It is annoying having them all and I hate Uplay, I used to hate Origin but it annoys me less lately. However, I think Steam needs some competition. Steam and Valve do not seem as altruistic as they used to be (where's our HL episode 3 you liars?). And once Gabe is gone - and he doesn't look like the healthiest man alive - whoever takes over Steam will have truly diabolical power, which they will almost certainly use to make more money money money! EA are worse of course.

You might be missing out on some top games too - after years of increasingly disappointing reskins of the same Assassin's Creed game every year like fifa, the current AC Origins is actually brilliant (I think they took a two year break instead of just churning out annual flim flam). And this Far Cry 5 is starting to look pretty tasty...

Im all for competition, i think they should all just allow each other to have their games on, say after an exclusivity period of being on theirs only, as could easily just charge the others a fee from every copy sold or something, i just find it ridiculous, that if you get it through Steam, you still have to have Uplay, and it running as well, to play it.

Slight off-topic but is AC: Origins worth buying for around £30? I'm tempted to get Far Cry 5 but obviously would rather wait and play something that's patched rather than day1 bugs!

Just set FC5 up in my Steam library and fired up the SteamLink, worked straight away, didn’t even need to configure the XBox pad it recognised it without me needing to do anything. FC5 also looks really nice upscaled to 4K.

Definitely at that price.

I managed to get a copy for £25 on release, however I would have certainly paid £30 for it. It's a lot of fun and offers many hours of gameplay.
