Ubisoft FarCry 5 'are you ready' thread just shown up....

If you get it through uplay but then add it to your steam library as a non steam game , are you still able to play it via the steam link ps4 pad ?

Really tempted by this, but then I've been looking at other open world shooters and noticed I haven't even started mgs v phantom pain , and after comparing videos I think I might enjoy this more from a realistic point of view

I have never seen so many bugs in a farcry game before. Weird physics. Mission bugging out causing you to respawn in turret and failing over and over with no possibility of leaving said turret. Tons of stuff going wrong that shouldn't be in general. At one time i had ditched a car to take over an outpost then on completion and after the little cutscene the car i had ditched 300 meters away came flying straight in my face as i turned around to look for a vehicle :P.

Cant get it to work.. "access denied" to the reshade master preset folder location when downloading.

Everything in the game folder stays read only even with full permission..

I posted on the Reshade forum. I have it working on The Division not sure why it doesnt like Far Cry.

Must have been an Uber :D.

I haven't played a Far Cry game since Far Cry 3, is this recommended?

If you like the Far Cry way of doing things, I'd say play 4 first. I loved 3 and 4, but after another day's playing I will say I do enjoy 5 but it doesn't have quite the same clawing addiction that kept bringing me back to 3/4.

Edit: Spleen Sauce beat me to it, said basically the same :)

If you enjoyed Fc3 I’d still say that FC4 is worth a play - it’s much the same formula. I’m starting to really enjoy FC5 now though I think it feels a fair bit different to the others.

Hmm sounds good, loved fc3 but couldn't get into fc4 as it just felt too similar. If fc5 is a bit of a change, I think that will get me back in.

Purchased this yesterday with the 20% discount (standard edition).

Tested out the benchmark on maximum graphics and it's a fluctuation between 50 - 70 FPS, so thoroughly happy with that.

I've enjoyed all the Far Cry games, loved the second despite the controversy towards it, but yes, Far Cry 4 is a nice game and similar to the third in some ways, but I liked the Himalayan setting.
