That mod might make the game worth buying for me. Forcing certain events and missing missions etc. is an absolute deal-breaker for me, idiotic design, really really poor form.
Cheers for the heads up on the mod, I will check it out. I might just buy this game after all if the mods fixes it.
Origins was a very surprisingly good game - see what you can do Ubisoft, when you don't just rush out an annual reskin.

I did use the mod for a time and took out one Herald before deciding to stop playing FC5 altogether - I'd rather wait for a full on solution before attempting to re-play it again. The mod worked perfectly albeit one small issue, which I believe is fixed now - in that the controller D-Pad wouldn't work right on the weapon selection wheel. Can't believe Ubisoft haven't even addressed the resistance bar or NG+ yet, it is beyond hilarious given the attention Origins had on release.

Ubisoft had 80million for this game what did they do with all that money! Because the problem with this games is how crap the A.I is even with the update, But the most worst part of the game is 'Your Been Hunted' I got caught in a plane how did that work? Also it was not worth the £33.49 I paid on Uplay I think FC4 was the best one. IMO

Yeah same happened here. 7hrs into the game after release and Jacob had his hunters after me. I thought I'd grab a chopper and take to the air so I could hunt them down... "only youuuuuuuu....".
Looking back at the game, I am saddened at how enjoyable it was...some 8hrs after I was thrown into a forced confrontation with Jacob. Then I started seeing flaws left right and centre. It is sad that these still exist and nothing has been done about them.
You only have to look at how massive/perfect FarCry 4 was in terms of gameplay along with AC: Origins - both these games came before and have tons of gameplay. What on earth went wrong with 5?!

It was a massive missed opportunity, loved the first 8 hours, but once complete its incredibly dull. FC 3 and 4 were far better, even with towers to climb.

I still think most of the money went into marketing and EA show with 5, because they cut allots out from game to save money & time also the fc3/fc4 bosses was way better been evil and the wingsuit was good at flying through a valley, but in 5 what did we get land and tress in all areas of the game what use was that?, Also watch your bear kill your enemies for you! and why I stop playing it because of the "You been hunted" having to replay the same **** loop over and over again in the same location boring. Plus I had to fetch this and that for the A.I 'lazy scripts writers' it the same for FO4, but I hated this flaw when your A.I guns for hire when they drive if they hit anything in the game they don't get back in the car to drive you too the location so you have to go alone and wait for them catch up! also the dog don't get into the car wait again.. what a big mess the game is still, the game lost it's Potential and failed innovation.
Yes the game even with the update is still many flaws in many areas also the A.I and still not fixed I will not buy another FC.
It's more an console fanboy game then a PC hardcore open world game it should have been.

Help with this games res please, so I moved by pc to TV for abit this game will only run in full screen if I choose to run it in 4k
If I choose 1440p it stays small and doing alt enter to run it full screen doesn't fix it.
I tried Googling a fix but it's just people asking about ps4 and xbox issues

I run this game on a 42.5INCH at 4K UHD with a 1080 TI card, if your TV is bigger then mine just run it as 4K why lower the Res? unless your are try to get higher FPS been at the 1440 mode and I don't think your TV will let you do that most TV's run at 60HZ
I have a 1070 if I lower details for 4k I stay above 30fps but don't hit 60fps.
The TV is 55"
I just find it annoying I can't have it at 1440p it doesn't make sense

Any other games struggle to run full screen at 1440p? My TV used to do that and it was because 1:1 pixel mapping was enabled in a setting somewhere which I had to disable if I remember rightly.
Sounds like a pixel mapping problem with the display, have you tried running windowed / borderless?
I have only tried few games re7 and enter gungeon work fine.
I tried windowed and border less and all it changed was my desktop res went all whacky and the game itself just stayed in small area

Is this about FC5 and you want to lower screen size or Your TV!!!.
What's the name and age of your TV? most TV's run at 60HZ for games now days at 4K

My tv isn't old lol I'd just rather have 60 fps than 30!
I know 30 is more than playable I just want more, my TV is Samsung q6f

Try a different HDMI port, my Panasonic TV which wasn't cheap i might add has 4 HDMI ports only 1 of them is hdmi 2.0 compliant, look for a HDMI that says ARC that will usually be the one that is HDMI 2.0 and dhcp2.2 also make sure your cable is HDMI 2.0 i made that mistake of buying a cable that was 1.4 Check the table below.My tv isn't old lol I'd just rather have 60 fps than 30!

Quick recap
- Make sure GPU is HDMI 2.0 compliant (1070 should be)
- Check Cable is Hdmi 2.0 Compliant
- Try all your TV HDMI ports one by one (Only top end TV's have all HDMI ports 2.0 and DCHP 2.2 enabled) (Something to do with they have to pay a fee for each port that is licensed sounds silly but it's on the av forums somewhere read it about a year ago when i had problems getting my tv to do 4k60FPS)
- check the setting at the bottom of the page from samsungs manual

So you set the setting too Ultra but your resolution is 2560x1080? I have same Ultra but my resolution is 3840x2160 and it looks very nice at 4k UHD I think you should do what member 'bigimmyauk' said
It's back on my LG ultra wide monitor. Which is only 29"
The settings are ultra, everything is maxed, my pc monitor doesnt go any higher in regards to resolution.
I'll get a photo and show you, the bit I'm referring to looks *****.

I have noticed number of texture issue since the last patch maybe that is the issue.
