UCAS applicants this year

For UCAS you can just go to the website and say you forgot your login details and it will give you your tracking number even if you haven't received the letter!

I sent my application off towards the end of November (30th on the tracking letter) and received my tracking letter shortly afterwards. When I login, the status is still "Your application has been sent for consideration." :/ Does it normally take this long?

I applied to Cambridge to read Engineering. Answer back in Thursdays letter was a resounding 'no'. I'll look as it in a blessing in disguise, or something like that anyway.

Got my letter on the 3rd saying I'd been pooled. Later that afternoon one of the people who interviewed me phoned and said they will be giving me an offer. Letter should arrive in about a week's time then I'll know I haven't misheard :D I'm guessing they'll want me to do a load of AEA/STEP papers or something like that.

congrats =]

Some people just don't like interview type situations and get very stressed about it. There's plenty of highly intelligent yet socially inept teenagers around who know they can easily get the grades to land a spot in a decent uni, they don't need to try and persuade them to hand out a low offer.
Even more reason to go - it is practice, because I guarantee a future employer won't give you a job without an interview. At least, not a very good one ;)

Same happened to me a couple of years ago (Engineering at Oxford) - I'm glad it turned out this way as the University I'm at now (Sheffield) is absolutely brilliant :)

Great news mate. Congrats:)

Got my first at Leeds College of Music on Wed. I'm feeling pretty nervous as I have to take a theory paper as well as submit a portfolio of all my work!

Thought I'd give this a bump.

I sent off around the 19th of December, and it went to UCAS from school a couple of days later, so I'm only just getting offers.

The course I have applied to is the 4yr MEng Mechanical Engineering.

I just checked now and I've got an offer of AAA (maths + physics) from my top choice, Bath, so I'm rather happy :D
No interview either, so I'm sorted sorted!

Only other response I've had is leeds for AAB, or if I get AAA, then they give a £1500 scholarship - not bad! ;)

Still waiting on Loughborough(second choice, may be relegated to third by Leeds though, once I've seen Leeds, given their scholarship, although I will only go to Leeds if I don't get the 3As for Bath, so I guess it's inconsequential). Also waiting on Southampton and Newcastle, although I don't care really about them, as I didn't see them.

Ta. Saw your interview thread so glad that went well. Was reading your part of the thread and was going to reply but now am replying here instead.

Do you get grade offers for music, or do they just take you if they like you, so to speak?
