FitzwilliamWhich college?
I sent my application off towards the end of November (30th on the tracking letter) and received my tracking letter shortly afterwards. When I login, the status is still "Your application has been sent for consideration." :/ Does it normally take this long?

Got my letter on the 3rd saying I'd been pooled. Later that afternoon one of the people who interviewed me phoned and said they will be giving me an offer. Letter should arrive in about a week's time then I'll know I haven't misheardI'm guessing they'll want me to do a load of AEA/STEP papers or something like that.
Even more reason to go - it is practice, because I guarantee a future employer won't give you a job without an interview. At least, not a very good oneSome people just don't like interview type situations and get very stressed about it. There's plenty of highly intelligent yet socially inept teenagers around who know they can easily get the grades to land a spot in a decent uni, they don't need to try and persuade them to hand out a low offer.
I applied to Cambridge to read Engineering. Answer back in Thursdays letter was a resounding 'no'. I'll look as it in a blessing in disguise, or something like that anyway.
