Blimey charlie knees are jerking so fast in here I bet you're putting holes in the walls behind your desks! Wish I'd watched the Arsenal game though, Chelsea game was so horrendously boring.

But the fact remains he wouldn't. We've been in the same position for 3-4 years and he's still reluctant to spend big. £15 million for arshavin is the kind of things he does when he goes into his pocket. I just can't stand watching us bring in average french defenders for £7-10 million when tottenham sign someone like Van Der Vart for £8 million. I've wanted him out for 2 years now but I've kept quiet because of the AKB squads.

Arsenal will be hoping for a kind draw for the second round, assuming they finish second. At the moment the likes of Barca and Real Madrid would destroy them.
 
well lads, if the games tonight have been boring (i didn't watch them) may i advise you tune in to the mighty spurs tomorrow, guarenteed entertainment :)

You just know we're getting one of them! If Tottenham go further then us then we'll never hear the end of it! At least they (hopefully) won't finish above us in the league!
 
ARsenal, what to say, Theo barely looks like a footballer, when Bendtner had to go looking for the ball he made his passes and setup the chance of the game which Theo promptly fluffed. Gibbs was awful, crossing poor, defensively woeful and culpable for the 2nd goal, Denilson culpable for the first and second goal, horrifically bad player.

You can't win games consistantly if you insist on playing someone as completely awful as Denilson, same old story, theres 3-4 players who consistantly get starts who are completely ruddy awful.

Sagna vs Lauren, Denilson vs Gilbert/Edu/Vieira/Parlour even, Diaby vs Vieira, Song vs Gilberton/Vieira, Theo vs Freddie/Pires, theres not even any comparison, Djourou/Kos vs Adams/Sol/Gallas , its laughable how poor quality some of our players are and even worse that Wenger keeps giving them new contracts and more money rather than replacing them.

WE're becoming a joke, Braga were abysmal, and but for Denilson both goals were very easily avoided.

Fabregas, yet again rushed back from injury, played in every game, in games we're easily winning we play him right to the end, before this game Wenger even said his hamstring looks dodgey and we might rest him, yet again forces him to play injured and yet again its backfired. Just a complete joke, we've got guys like JET who can play literally any position, whose better than Theo, would have done a better job in Denilson's role, and he's stuck in the reserves.

As for needing to break the bank, rubbish. How much would it have cost to keep Diarra, who was FANTASTIC for Real tonight..... nothing, how much would it have cost to keep Flamini, not world class, but FAR above Diaby/Denilson, nothing, how much would it have cost to keep Gilberto, still playing great, still Brazil's best DM and the best DM at the world cup.......... nothing.

How much would we have SAVED ditching Diaby/Denilson years ago, millions upon millions, get in 5-10 younger players, keep the best two, save millions and have a better squad.

We don't need to break the bank, we need a manager who can regonise a world class playing like Diarra and keep him and recognise complete rubbish and get rid of them.
 
Christ there are some outrageous Arsenal fans on here.. I'm not even going to come into this thread again for fear of reading more of the same.

Should be goals. Werder Bremen seem to have a leaky defense like us. Werder Bremen need a win, and Spurs under Harry only know one way to play which is attack so should be fun. Cue 0-0 draw :p
 
There's more and more deadwood in the club it's a disease.

Rosicky it's now apparent will never become the player he could have been/we bought him for, Denilson is garbage as is Diaby. I don't care for Eboue. Gibbs apart from one good run forward isn't that bad at defending but clearly doesn't like having the ball. 451 is baffling simply because we rely on left/right back to provide crosses into a lone target man up front. Not even the wingers? :confused:

Squillaci and Kos weren't bad signings but it's clear our scouts couldn't find anybody else or we're too cheap to get anybody else. They're not brilliant or world class and looking once again at that Ajax CB it's obvious it's out there. Squillaci can do a job mostly but isn't Vermaelen, Kos isn't quite there and I think a lot of his fouls have showed this.

Walcott continues to be an ass. Bendtner's an arrogant **** who once again did **** all.

We've gone from having an occasional crap game, e.g. Hull City a few years ago, to having a few more in a row. Worrying when we want to be in the top four.

Levy seems sensible, but if his manager refused to spend and refused to sell the rubbish players it wouldn't help.

Arsenal have needed a new manager for 4 years, and thats with 2 VERY poor years from Wenger already under the belt, its now 6 years since there was a huge change in Wenger's philosphy, do Arsenal fans even remember the never pass backwards style we had, the counter attacking at huge pace, the pass, turn, pass approach. Arsenal are now Djourou to Denilson, Denilson either turns and takes about 14 minutes to decide to pass sideways, or he does an instant pass back to Djourou. With Arshavin, Rosicky, Fabregas, Denilson, Song, Diaby we lack the pace of PIres, Freddie, Henry, Reyes, Wiltord, Cole, etc, etc. We've replaced 10 insanely fast players with 1 uber fast player who can't play football.

Hiddink or someone like that, really anyone but Wenger.

Plenty of clubs keep a bunch of rubbish players around the manager just won't ditch, but the ones who actually start them in the most important games, and 3 or 4 of them, don't win anything.

See that's the thing, we need somebody of the old more successful side to return and offer their guidance on the training pitch/dressing room.

I never really wanted Sol Campbell to return because we all know his head's a bit ****ed. The experience is utterly required, but Wenger quel surprise went for the wrong guy. Vieira would have been great. Or Pires. Heck even Freddie who's playing in the MLS.
