Not a bad effort from that distance

I found it funny that RvP and Valencia got yellow cards for accidentally entering Ramos's personal space...

RVP's was a bit of a slap, nothing major, and wasn't a yellow and Ramos's reaction was pathetic as it was just an arm out to feel where your guy you're playing is, Valencia's was in fairness a full on elbow to the face, not massive power but it woulda hurt none the less, still not sure it was a yellow... far closer to one than RVP's.

The thing I hate about Ramos is, he'll go down like he's been punched from that RVP contact, yet he will actually intend to and full on elbow someone in the face, they'll go down barely concious and then he'll yell at the guy for diving... he's just a thug and a cheat. Cheating itself is one thing, cheating then lying about it, accusing the other player when diving/fouling/cheating is something you do on a regular basis really really winds me up.

The only real thing to mention is, I don't remember Ramos doing a nasty foul, and Pepe didn't attempt to murder anyone, very quiet night overall from those two, pretty rare thing to see. Don't really remember Alonso kicking out randomly at everyone either.

ref was bent imo never seen a game called when theres a corner kick to be taken

It happens, not very often, but it does happen and realistically its what should be done more often. If anyone was on the take, it was both teams, maybe they heard from the bookies almost no one was betting on the draw, could explain how both teams were so rubbish in the second half compared to the first :p

That ref had a really poor one. Varane should have gone, and I don't know how he was falling for Sergio Ramos' play acting every time. Pretty much every challenge on him he went down holding his face lol.

Great result for United. Could have snatched a winner but also had to withstand some pressure from Real. Ramos was a **** the entire game, he was chucking his weight about but then going down so easily when someone tried to do the same to him. Also, he should have been sent off for a deliberate elbow in the first half. Varane should have gone too.

The return leg is going to be an interesting one. I think Real will set themselves up to hit us on the break, which they are perfectly capable of doing with all their pace. However, they also looked a bit shaky at the back and I can see us getting a couple of goals at OT. I think it's going to be another close game though.

Well, he scored a goal for starters... :p

I admitted he scored, fair enough.

Apart from that he ran round miscontrolling the ball and being generally useless. He's got no first touch.

Don't get me wrong hrs a half decent player but he's not of your standard and certainly shouldn't be starting against Madrid in the last 16 of the CL.

SAF, a veteran of over 25 years and countless trophy wins thinks otherwise.
