UEFA Champions League/Europa League 13/14/15 March *** Spoilers ***

Massively impressed with Bilbao and their fans over the two legs. Great football, great work rate and some superb goals. Could've easily scored 10 over the two legs and it's rare to see United get so outplayed in one game let alone two.

If Guardiola leaves Barcelona, Bilbaos manager would be a ready made replacement.

An interesting stat told in that game. Bilbao covered more ground at OT than any other team in the last 10 years.

How good were Herrera and De Marcos tonight? Both younger than Cleverley as well :(

If Fergie pulls out the "only a few players that could improve us" bullcrap again this summer...Hell in these two ties we've seen Herrera, De Marcos, Eriksen and Martinez all who look much stronger than our midfield.

Man Utd shouldn't take that too hard, they came up against a team with immense determination to beat them, Bilbao are a good side, but those will be two of their best performances all season, they were everywhere for 60 minutes in the first leg, and all of the second leg. Man Utd didn't help themselves with poor technique and not building many moves, but they did so much chasing it's hard to get your head up and pick the right pass when you're knackered and a Bilbao player is already a few yards away closing down almost all your options. They were fitter, more intense and technically outstanding, but they're not that good every week
