UEFA Champions League/Europa League 15/16/17 March *** Spoilers ***

Never understood this myth about Diarra tbh, he's always looked pretty ordinary to me

Diarra is incredibly good, just more expensive than Denilson/Song so Wenger though he could go. Was superb at Pompie and has been superb when played at Real. The main reasons he hasn't got enough games at Real are the owners buying "superstar" players, new expensive players end up getting played, or bought, no matter what the team actually needs, its Real's classic problem for a decade, owners going after whoever was most popular in the summer like Khedira, despite the fact he was rubbish.

People had a go at his passing, its because unlike Denilson, who people raved about his passing percentage, he tries to pass somewhere actually useful. 95% passing rate sideways, slowing attacks and leading to rubbish football, or 70-80% passing rate driving forwards, attacking, scoring goals and winning games, thats the problem, too many people have got into this Denilson/Song type footballer is great mindset. He also has a very wide range of passing, he'll ping it from the right wing inbehind the defence on the left wing, or a throughball into the box, or, whatever, Song/Denilson types rarely pass over 10 yards, and rarely anything unexpected or attempt anything to someone who isn't in a tonne of space.

Diarra appears less tidy, will give the ball away more, but is ultimately a massively massively more effective player, going forward and defending.

LEtting him go is the biggest mistake Wengers made at Arsenal so far, well letting him, Gilberto and Flamini go in favour of the two muppets is collectively his worst mistake.

Looks like Lucas might not be involved for us tonight because his wife is due to give birth :o

So that's Torres, Johnson, Poulsen and now possibly Lucas this season alone.

What are they putting in the water up there?

Has DM just said that letting Diarra go was Wenger's biggest ever mistake? I refuse to believe anybody has a brain which processes thoughts like that. The man who literally never starts a game unless he's at a club like Portsmouth?

Seems O'Shea might be out for 5 weeks and Rafael out for a month, and Rio might be out for the season. We're ****** :(

Hope Vidic is back by the weekend otherwise we'll have to clone Brown and play him at right back and centre back!

Vidic has already been ruled out of the Bolton game :(

I would imagine we'll go Fabio -- Smalling -- Brown -- Evra in defence. Dunno what we'll do when Fabio fails to last the 90 minutes as per the norm though

Ok, me and my work mate just had a trial UEFA draw. Our team names were on paper not on 'UEFA bribed specially marked' balls. So our draw could not be fixed. These are the results:

Real Madrid vs Shaktar
Barcelona vs Inter Milan
Manchester United vs Chelsea
Schalke vs Spurs

I'd be happy with something like that. Only 20hrs to wait until we find out for real.

Kicked a bloke with a high foot, not sure how else to explain it :p

Kolarov's goal was just a low drive, and Tevez slightly offside and flicked it to put the keeper off, keeper should have done better though.

What? He made no attempt to pull his foot back. Could have been a lot worse if the other guy didn't pull off a little. His foot started at about shoulder height, been watching a de Jong highlight reel.

Yes he did. He pulled off? hahaha ok then.
Well he must not have been because he didn't win the ball.

Doesn't matter if he pulled off or not or if he got the ball if Ref thought intent was their is and is wreckless can still be sent off. (I wont say if it is or isnt as im not watching it)

Your not wrong.
Anyway, cracking goal from Kolarov. Even if it did take a little deflection. Still got hope here though...If Chelsea wasn't so expensive i would have gone :(

Wasn't a cracking goal, Tevez was offside when he flicked at it, so with a different linesman/ref probably wouldn't have been given. It was a clear sending off too. Just seen Balotelli's miss too, should have been 1 up early on.
