UEFA Champions League/Europa League 15/16/17 March *** Spoilers ***

Great game.

Watching it as a neutral and it's really clear there's so much more to simulation. It's subtle and absolutely necessary for the top sides to master it. Not just to get other players booked and sent off, but to prevent them challenging in the first place.

Come on Arsene, we have small players anyway ffs.

Jose really needs to make some changes this summer in defence though, Pepe is rubbish, Diara should always be ahead of Khedira, Carvahlo is getting a bit old, Albiol is... well, Albiol.

Good first half. Madrid look really good at times, but they still look a bit uncomfortable with defending off the ball.

Chelsea game looks like they could have been trailing, free kick had Cech watching and praying, but it hit the post.

No idea why so many people rate Diarra. He's incredibly selfish on the ball and regularly passes it straight back to his opponents. The fact he's only been able to hold a first team place at Portsmouth should tell you all you need to know about him.

He's somewhat waned off his peak, but for a good while he was the best dm in the world. I can appreciate though it's quite difficult to see the importance, or the important work being done by one in a Madrid side.

With the amount of work any dm has to do at Real it should be incredibly easy for him to shine but his form's so inconsistent Real can't really trust him. While he's capable of the odd MOTM performance he appears to spend more time AWOL.

If he accepted his limitations as a footballer and just stuck to what he does best he could become an exceptional dm but until he realises he's got more in common with Makelelelelelele than Zidane he'll never gain a regular place in a top team.

That's who he's supposed to be more like, Makelele. :p

As said above his form's waned a lot he's a long way from his peak. But when he was good he was brilliant. Annoyed that we let him go.

Not watching the Real match atm, I presume he's having a bit of an Alex Song bombing forward stint?
