UEFA Champions League/Europa League 18/19/20 October *** Spoilers ***

from BBC

2121: It's 10-a-side at the Britannia, and in slightly comical fashion. Yoav Ziv, the man who has slammed by the Stoke fans for his part in Cameron Jerome's sending off, turns the boos to cheers by receiving marching orders of his own. He is clearly ruffled when Ryan Shotton stands on his foot during a tackle on the touchline and takes his frustration out with an air kick at the linesman, only for his boot to come off and hit the official. The player apologises immediately but the damage is done and it's an early bath for the defender.

Love to see that lol

:D

edit: beaten twice :(

Still, funny :)

I don't think that was exactly what happened. The player had his foot stood on by a Stoke player which caused his boot to come off, he looked to the lino looking for a free-lick, nothing was given so he kicked his boot in frustration and it hit the lino.

Been a good open and entertaining game this (fair enough some quality missing!). I watched the Arsenal game last night (well tried) and thought it started well...

Ended up getting the best nights sleep I have had for ages :p

Yup, boot was definately off, not sure if in the moment he meant to kick it at the linesman, or just got unlucky.

Not quite sure what happened earlier, I saw a replay of Jerome being next to a guy who threw himself to the floor(same one that got sent off I think), I saw a few replays I couldn't see any obvious contact and I think Jerome got sent off for an elbow there?

Also, have Stoke had to widen and lengthen the pitch for Europa league regulations or something, whats with the second set of pitch chalk lines, that have been really badly covered up?
