4th was never out of reach, all due respect but there's only Spurs and Liverpool to compete with, both good sides but neither clearly better than Arsenal over a season. It'll be close, it was always going to be close. 5 wins out of 6 is good for anybody btw, you always have a dodgy performance every few weeks unless you're Barca
As said above, Man Utd have only won 3 of 6 and they're almost a certainty to win the league.
If you don't think Spurs or Liverpool have better teams than Arsenal this year you really are delusional.
This season, I'd take Wilshire and RVP, and thats it over the rest of Spurs first team, if you were forced to play in a 4-5-1, I wouldn't even take RVP over Ade as a lone striker. Our keeper is pretty damn good but Friedal has craploads of experience in keeping a defence organised, calm and sorting out set pieces/working with a good defence.
I don't even rate Ekotto, not a huge fan of Lennon, and yet they are much better than our alternatives. Actually I'd put Verm in alongside Gallas, but considering Verm isn't ever fit Kaboul is the next best in form CB between the two teams.
It would be a similar situation with who you'd play from Liverpool/Arsenal, Wilshire and RVP again, probably Verm if he was ever fit.
Liverpool 4 points ahead, played more "top half" teams, Spurs 3 points ahead, game in hand only played two "bottom half" teams so far compared to our.
We've beaten Swansea, Bolton, Sunderland, 2 of the bottom 4. Spurs have beaten Liverpool and us. We haven't beaten anyone higher than 13th, Spurs beat 4th in the league. We're closer to the bottom than we are 4th spot.
