UEFA Champions League/Europa League 18/19/20 October *** Spoilers ***

If utd had won 5 out of the last 6 we would be considered to be progressing very well indeed though. As ivsee it we have only won 3 out of our last 6 and have played worryingly poorly in all of those 6 matches with the potential exception being a 3-0 versus Leeds...

Marseille 0-1 - Just
Sunderland 2-1 - Just
Tottenham 2-1 - Lost
Olympiakos 1-2 - Won
Bolton 0-3 - Won
Shrewsbery 1-3 - Won - League 1 power house ;)

Ok that is 5 out of 6......but its hardly utd, chelsea, liverpool city is it? Arguably the only good team they have come up against they lost to! and yet gooners the length of the land are starting to speak up for 4th spot again?! I just dont see it

4th was never out of reach, all due respect but there's only Spurs and Liverpool to compete with, both good sides but neither clearly better than Arsenal over a season. It'll be close, it was always going to be close. 5 wins out of 6 is good for anybody btw, you always have a dodgy performance every few weeks unless you're Barca

As said above, Man Utd have only won 3 of 6 and they're almost a certainty to win the league.

And those 6 for united were for the most part what id call definite wins - the only exception being maybe liverpool but i bet most other teams go there and try for three points.

Given our 7th game is city which we could easily lose or win - the 7th match could really determine the league
if we lose the gap will be a sizeable 5 points which may be difficult to claw back versus this strengthened city squad.

How are we an almost certainty to win the league

It seems to be a similar situation to last year when a few big wins and suddenly you are the definite league champions, we're not even top!

Your only competition is City who have Mancini as a manager and aren't really ready to win the league imo. I suppose City could win it but I think it'll be next year when they do. Chelsea will be no where near and the rest even further

Well we might as well not bother with the rest of the season then.

Were you one of the people saying Chelsea had it wrapped up at this point last season by any chance?

Think our game might be boys vs men tonight. Their average age is 22 and have their 3 senior interntional players suspended. They looks to be a very small but technichal team.

Think we will have to much muscle for them to cope with.

3-0 to us i reckon

Was laughably poor by the ref and the player.

What REALLY needs to happen is players that do that, like Barton for Gervinho and that against Dembele, should be reviewed and players cheating that obviously changing games and fooling refs should be seriously punished. Barton even came out and said he dived to make it look worse, Gervinho did deserve a red then, he was an idiot, but players cheating to make things look worse relaly should be hugely punished, at least Gervinho touched Barton's face(while the ref ignored Barton's reaction and violent behaviour), Dembele barely touched his shoulder and the guy throws himself to the floor holding his face.

His hero much be Rivaldo. Hope something happens to him, and the ref for being stupid enough to give the red card. He didn't even see him touch him, just the player holding his face.

If you don't think Spurs or Liverpool have better teams than Arsenal this year you really are delusional.

This season, I'd take Wilshire and RVP, and thats it over the rest of Spurs first team, if you were forced to play in a 4-5-1, I wouldn't even take RVP over Ade as a lone striker. Our keeper is pretty damn good but Friedal has craploads of experience in keeping a defence organised, calm and sorting out set pieces/working with a good defence.

I don't even rate Ekotto, not a huge fan of Lennon, and yet they are much better than our alternatives. Actually I'd put Verm in alongside Gallas, but considering Verm isn't ever fit Kaboul is the next best in form CB between the two teams.

It would be a similar situation with who you'd play from Liverpool/Arsenal, Wilshire and RVP again, probably Verm if he was ever fit.

Liverpool 4 points ahead, played more "top half" teams, Spurs 3 points ahead, game in hand only played two "bottom half" teams so far compared to our.

We've beaten Swansea, Bolton, Sunderland, 2 of the bottom 4. Spurs have beaten Liverpool and us. We haven't beaten anyone higher than 13th, Spurs beat 4th in the league. We're closer to the bottom than we are 4th spot.

As a spurs fan I would take your keeper, Wilshire and RVP (if the latter two can stay fit!)

I REALLY think Liverpool have spent a huge amount of money on some incredibly mediocre players.

As for Ekotto I think he is very under rated watching him week in week out he hardly ever makes a mistake is solid and very composed on the ball, his style of play if it goes wrong can be a bit kamikaze though.

I was a huge fan of lennon but not so much any more, not that theo is any better Lennon had a really good season where i thought he would push on but he has just stayed at the same level..run at a player...look like you might cut in but ALWAYS move onto his right foot...run very fast to the line and cross in.

Interested to see the spurs lineup tonight and how we play

4-4-2 then, I thought that would be the team except livermoore at CB, dont NEED to win tonight

SUBS: Cudicini, Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Modric, Townsend, Falque, Kane.

Like to see Falque and Kane get atleast 15-20 mins
