Shelvey's good enough to be playing for the first team already. Great half from the lad despite being surrounded by dog poo.

Meireles, Shelvey and Pacheco as the midfield 3 would make quite an interesting trio. Obviously won't happen while Mr Anti-Football remains in charge though :(

Can't wait for the Man City game...that was quite possibly one of the dullest half time analysis ever.

I'm getting back to this late! I'm not originally from Birmignham (thankfully!) - born in London but 1/4 Italian and steeped in Italian football ;) You'll probably never even read this :p

I suggested this could end in a draw, I just wasn't thinking of a 0-0 draw. Italian sides in Europe are a sorry sight these days.

EDIT: Sampdoria now behind at 10-man Metalist Kharkiv. I'm running out of words to describe how abysmal we (Italian teams) are.

One positive from this is Shelvey , good enough to be in the match day team imo. Yet another half assed performance by babel though, seriously how many more does he get.
 
Solid performance but nothing more. Skrtel and Shelvey both impressed tonight.

As somebody said to me, if Roy thought we played well on Sunday, he must think we played like Barca tonight :o
 
Skrtel,Shelvey,Kelly best performances of what was just average at best. Babel was doing nothing as the normal Roy saying he needed the chance well that must be his 100th chance and he does nowt to say he should be given more AGAIN.

would have like to see Pacheco play too :(
