Two stabbed, one multiple times, one head injury, one family of three attacked in a restaurant in Naples. #LFC

Great, glad to see the Italians are up to their old tricks. Apparently the Naples local paper reported the arrival of Liverpool "hooligans" and showed all the safe areas designated by the police so the Napoli Ultras new exactly where to find the fans.

Smalling is starting to look a very solid player. He's going to start deserving some more first team action. I can see why Arsenal and ourselves were so interested now.

He looked okay, nothing spectacular.

Can't believe he's gone from non-league to Champions League in 2 years though

st get back to your spreadsheets, pretty much any team in the world would happily have Bale roaming down their left flank.

im not convinced that is true...

Malouda or Bale... hmm let me think..

CR 7 Ronaldo or Bale?

Nani or Bale?

Arshavin or Bale?
any of the non top teams might like to have Bale but hes not currently top drawer winger for a top club.

Well apparantly were resting Gerrard,Torres,Merilias(Sp),Lucas and agger is ill apparantly and g.johnson injured.

So excluding the illness/injury he is resting 2 of our best players (okay form poop atm but still their world class) and the new guy who shows potential yet. Roy will play crap poulson agaisnt napoli who are 4th in their league.

Yeh clever that is Roy so i wont be surprised if the worst happens.

Stats do say he's been given more attention than is usual, whether that's because he's playing for a traditionally non top four side or he's British I don't know.

As good as the hat trick was last night (I quite rightly praised it above), the keeper was beaten by three virtually identical shots from a similar position. Two of the goals came in the 90th minute and for all of them Inter were 4-0 up beforehand. There is an undeniable sense that it could be a fluke.

We all saw Bale turn himself into a name last year and he appears to have continued the form this year. Let's see if he can maintain it further or get even better.

I would love to see Liverpool lose to night just to see how everyone reacts. Hope it's a **** loss as well, like a beach ball on the pitch...or an inflatable Rafa. :D

Gareth Bale - what I fail to understand is why he wasn't highly rated before this season. Leonardo was gagging for us to sign him in the summer of 2009 and I liked the idea. Other European clubs were very interested either then or in January of this year with even more sides looking at him over the summer.

Personally I think he's a very good player and I'm not surprised by anything he's doing. Admittedly if he went to Italy (not going to happen) he'd need time to adjust but I'm convinced he would be successful.

He did, but I was having a sly dig at a Brummie (I presume) supporting an Italian team. :p
