UEFA Champions League/Europa League 6/7/8 March *** Spoilers ***

I am shocked juve have only conceded 4 goals in 21 games. (spurs scoring 3).

Masterclass? Nonsense. 3 minutes where we forgot we had to defend.

We could and should have scored more but ultimately when going 1-0 up it was time to change things tactically and make ourselves more difficult to open up.

Gutted, but hopefully a learning experience foe the guys. Madrid, Dortmund and Juve arent a bad way to get a feel for what CL REALLY feels like. None of this Basel nonsense :)

My oh my spurs lol...what a turnaround from Juventus

That was pretty epic last night from Juventus. Spurs basically doing what arsenal do best, choke hard lol.

Oh and chessers is an absolute legend, tweeting north London is red after Spurs get knocked out:p.

Mind you as an arsenal fan, I shouldn’t laugh too much as we play tonight and god know what sort of performance we will put in lol.

I don’t understand why people think it is a choke when Spurs lose? Our game plan worked really well, we were a goal up, they adapted to significant effect in the three minutes it took for Spurs to adapt to the new shape.

Choking would be failing to take the fight to Juventus and getting hit for 4 or 5.

Spurs played their normal game and lost bY a single goal to Serie A champions and 2 times CL runner up. Means the team is v close and has improved from last year.

If you conintially improve, eventually you get there...how long has it taken City to be dominant in Europe, how long did it take Chelsea, it took Man Utd a few attempts through the late 90s. Spurs squad should be immensely proud and encouraged after the bitterness of defeat goes.

Have to agree with you here. Juventus are a top side who are similar to Tottenham and are a very well drilled team who know how they play and generally execute their game plan well. They nearly lost and on another night they would have done. The best team doesn't always win and just because you had a game plan to beat a team doesn't mean you weren't a bit lucky that it worked.

I doubt Juventus had a plan to go a goal down and they could easily have conceded more. Tottenham have done well and were just unlucky last night.

Sons goal is the absolute definition of luck and lets not talk about that penalty decision.

I don't think Spurs choked by any means but I don't think they played particularly well. They didn't really carve out any clear cut chances, not that I can remember anyway lol.

I didn't watch the match so I don't know what the game was like. I was purely going off what I had read, match reports and brief highlights.

When teams win by a flukey goal or when one of their players that has scored 2 goals in the past 5 years sticks in a 30 yard screamer and then comes out after a match and claims their "game plan" worked I do laugh. "Our game plan was to be patient and we knew that eventually we would break them down". Yeah, you knew that Bob Neverscores was going to score the goal of his career in the 94th minute did you.

Or the penalty where every single Juve defender had a handful of ever Spurs attackers shirt at every set-play.

Spurs biggest failure was not being 2 or 3 goals up at HT. Spurs didn't play great football and create clear chances but what Spurs were doing is simply overrunning them and winning the ball back when Juve tried to play out of the back - Spurs had so many 3 on 3's or 2 on 2's but their final ball or shot let them down.

Last night I was gutted but overall I'm happy - I didn't ever expect us to win the Champion's League and Spurs have put in some decent performances over the last few months against some of the best in Europe.

If we can qualify for next season then I'm sure we'll do better than the last 16.

I'm dreading today's game if I'm honest. Milan have been playing really well lately and we.... haven't.

Hopefully we can sneak away with a draw and snatch something in the 2nd leg.

You could bin everyone in this arsenal team behind Wilshere and replace them for £20m and not have a worse set of players.
