UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL ... Bayern Munich v Chelsea ... *** Spoilers ***

So many bitter people in here it's crazy.

And Tummy, you'd rather lose playing good football than win playing ugly?

That's an astonishing statement, and not in a good way.

No it's not.

I would rather my football team win a trophy, especially a European cup playing good football.

I wouldn't want my team to win a trophy playing ugly, bad football. I wouldn't want my team to be remembered as that, nor would I want to watch my team play as such.

Yes, we all want our teams to play like Barcelona but in some matches against some opponents you just can't.

I don't watch every match Chelsea plays but i bet my bottom dollar that they don't play the same way in the CL than they do when they play against a Conference side at home in the FA cup.

It was the Champion's League Final. They won.

What more do you want?

It seems he just despises Chelsea. Meh, most people do. Makes it all the more enjoyable

Congratulations Chelsea.

I did cringe when Gary Neville rolled out his orgasm goal celebration again, it worked when Torres scored against Barca; when Drogba scored against Bayern it was embarrassing.

As for Harry, look on the brightside fella, at least there'll be no England job or CL bonuses to mess up your tax return next year.... :)

What do Barcelona have to do with this?

Chelsea haven't played 'good' football for a while imho, of course there have been exceptions to this though.

It was the Champions League final and they did indeed win...

I don't really understand by what you mean? I'd like Chelsea to offer some imagination and ambition on the football pitch in the biggest game in European club football.

I don't think this game was a case of Chelsea 'winning' the game, they barely did enough. It was more a case of Bayern 'losing' the game, they should have wrapped the game up comfortably.

Absolutely nothing against Chelsea. As I said in my first comment post the final, congratulations.

They do play good football, but it's based much more on a possession game then an attacking flair type game.

How do you feel about the 99 champions league final?

When it comes to the European Cup/Champions League I couldn't care less how Man Utd win it just as long as they do win it. The UCL is just like any other cup competition the best team doesn't always win it nor is it won without an element of luck along the way so yes Chelsea got lucky against Bayern in the final (and to a certain extent against Barca) but if it were me I wouldn't care a jot. Not every team can win it in the style Barcelona have and other than the Barcelona wins and maybe Man Utd in 2008 (but obviously I'm biased) the Champions League is very rarely won by the best team but by the team that's had the most luck..... like the old saying goes you know if your names on the trophy

If Gilly is asking what I think he's asking I thought United were very 'lucky' in the 99' final too, Bayern were the better side and deserved to win that too.

No, I do agree that often the ~best sides don't' win knockout competitions, they often do though. It's not like a league competition.

Whilst Barca are interesting to watch I wouldn't want Liverpool to play like them, our football in 08/09 was much more fun to watch, particularly post February.

Barcelona, Ajax of Cruff era, Brazil of most eras, Liverpool of 08/09 etc etc...whatever

The point wasn't just Barcelona, the point was pretty football. Come on people, since when do I have to spell out every word? Tummy's point is he doesn't want his team to win ugly, i know what he meant.

"what do Barcelona got anything to do with this?"

Sigh....
