What is this studs up across 'law' you're obsessed with? I've never heard of it. Studs up increases the chance of being seriously penalised if you get it wrong, but there is no law against tackling with a raised foot.

The art of the slide tackle is already a dying one. Let's not kill it off completely by introducing more silly laws that further impede the little remaining contact allowed in this ever more ridiculous game.

Players throw themselves to the floor at every opportunity at the merest of touches, and they know that refs will keep on a blowin for it.

yes he nabbed a bit of the ball but the issue going studs up is you can rake the opponents ankle/shin. is this case the hard soul of the boot with all ramos weight sliding into it vs the Croatians toes...

A goal for Croatia would more than likely put Italy out, even if this Spanish game finishes 1-1 Italy would need to beat Ireland by 3 clear goals or 3-1, 4-2 etc.

I never said he dived, I was talking in general when I talked about players diving.

Yes you can rake the shin, but he didn't. Studs up is more dangerous if a player's foot is grounded.
