As for Ferdinand? It's totally strange that he isn't being taken now.
He's our most experienced centre back more or less, he's played an awful lot for Man Utd this season and he's a decent all round defender.
I can understand why he's upset. Hodgson has made a foolish error in not taking him.

It's so the final results come in simultaneously and it won't bother the players, and makes any dodgy fixing harder to do. Things like that, it makes sense.

Playing that way requires a lot of chasing the ball and closing down. Dominating possession would be more favourable in these conditions. Damn.
