UEFA Euro 2016 Group B ** spoilers** (England, Slovakia, Russia, Wales)

Disappointing, we can't even break down Slovakia.

As soon as Slovakia put a left back on it was game over, even worse when they put another centre back on. We should have put the chances away when they were available.

I am more mad that I have had take a half nights holiday on Monday now more than anything. Was looking forward to watching England this Saturday!

Slaven Bilic is spot on, 2 chances isn't good enough. Possession means nothing.

At least against better teams they won't be sat in so we have to break them down (which we clearly can't do).

Yep, but a team willing to play will do so because they have a good offense.

Doom mongers are a little over the top. Played reasonably well in 3 games where the opposition just tried to park the bus.

Agree. No one seems to enjoy football anymore. Each team we've played so far has sat so deep and played for a point. Games will be more open in the knock out rounds.

Won't be more open if we draw Hungary or Iceland, or even Austria. They will all do the same thing = more frustration because we're incapable of breaking teams down.

So because he's deep it effects his ability to pass and not take stupid 30 yard shots on when theres 20 players between him and the goal? Ok sure.

Is that you Roy?

Playing too deep means he's instantly less effective. It's not rocket science.

I do appreciate he didn't play well, but the point still stands.

Not this sort of football. There are known tactical methods to break down teams who are sat defending, top club sides regularly have to do it.

Yep, but I fancy the big teams that have managed to score more than 3 goals so far, in open play.

Is there anything you've seen so far that would suggest, say against Portugal, England can outscore them?

edit:

Probably a bad example as they have been dire so far as well.

Bilic has a point though. Every team we've played has been playing for a point. Once we meet a team who have a go there will be more space to exploit.

I agree to an extent, the question will be whether England can match them up front. So far they've got converted enough chances.

Glad to see both teams going through, really gets on my boobies when Welsh fans sit there cheering on the other team in their Man UTD or Liverpool shirts.

Maybe we'll meet again in the later stages? :D

I agree with Bilic England will perform a hell of a lot better against a team who wants to actually play.

We're better off drawing Portugal than Iceland cos they'll park the bus just the same as these have.

If England were any good, they'd have scored regardless of Slovakia not giving them much space and just defending.
