UEFA Euro 2016 Group B ** spoilers** (England, Slovakia, Russia, Wales)

I'm a VERY proud Welshman tonight, an incredible display considering the limited pool of players we can draw from. All credit to Chris Coleman and the late Gary Speed before him, for building such a united squad.
The supporters were worth an extra man, when they launched into the Welsh national anthem it gave me goosebumps and must have given the players a good hit of adrenaline.

Great result for us, Russia were poor, but they have been in the previous two games and I was worried they would show up tonight.

To qualify was a dream come true, to top the group is unbelievable!!!!!

I do have to laugh at the "Bales" comments, for years pundits / journalists have been saying Ronaldo / Messi won't become true greats until the "Do a Maradonna" and drag their team to success. We have someone with enough talent to do that, but because it's not a Rooney (bad example maybe) we're a one man team!

I think Wales deservedly won that group.

Yes sorry, but I think the keeper only made one save (from Vardy). They weren't good, however many.

I'd call it only 3 chances to be honest.

Vardy and Lallana saves, Alli off the line.

Similar number of chances in each of the Russia and Wales games as well.

Dominated is hyperbole for any of those games.

Clyne save as well ....

We should've created considerably more clear cut chances than we did, considering our supposed 'domination'.

I think Roy is a very good football manager. He understands the game well and is an excellent man manager, he also is able to take a long term view and has patience and belief in assembling a good side. However I think these are great attributes for a club manager, not necessarily for an international manager.

You're not afforded anywhere near the amount of time to develop a side - a few training sessions, a couple of friendlies and a qualifying campaign. Patience isn't exactly a virtue during international tournaments; being able to motivate, organise and make a team immediately effective are necessary to succeed in such events and I think Roy is found wanting in this regard. It's a pity as he's obviously a good guy but I'm unconvinced that his management style is going to lead to any international breakthrough.

I wouldn't even call the Lallana shot a clear cut chance. Alli attempt on goal was also a difficult one to take. They were both half chances.

I didn't watch the England match live as I use these opportunities to do some shopping while the roads are deserted ( :D) but when I switched on the +1 channel, I couldn't watch more than a few minutes.

All I could hear were the retarded chanting of the England fans to the great escape tune while simultaneously clapping like trained seals at a strictly dancing set. Really did my head in!

While I dont think we have much more than an outside chance of winning it I will lean towards the optimistic side instead of the exceedingly pessimistic and exaggerating side which are making out were we awful. We were not. Played reasonably well against all three teams and played some decent football at times. :)

Other than Clyne and the first 20 mins or so, that was rubbish. I've been championing Wilshere but he looked absolute dog **** today - really struggled to get involved in the game (the position isn't perfect for him) and when he did he was really wasteful to.

Every time we take a crock who has missed half a season we get the same crap about them being fresh. It never works. No idea why people thought this might be different. He will never be a quality England midfielder.

It can work in your favour though, we just had 2 on at the same time, should have either been either Henderson or Wilshere, not both. Henderson and Clyne did well down the right i thought, that Liverpool connection serving them well.

I don't understand why Milner hasn't had a look in, was he not like one of the most creative players in Europe last season or something?

More arrogance:

England goalkeeper Joe Hart: "We all wanted to finish top but we didn't. We have dominated every corner of the pitch and every Slovakian player will be proud of that result. We are into the next round and nobody will want to play us. I haven't had anything to do in the whole tournament to be honest. We have been playing very well as a team."

Aside from throwing Bale's free-kick in, aye.

Haven't had anything to do, but when you did have something to do you ****** it up....

Don't agree that no one will want to play us either, we're pretty much impotent going forward so I doubt we will be frightening anyone anytime soon.
