UEFA Euro 2016 Group B ** spoilers** (England, Slovakia, Russia, Wales)

It's actually set not too bad, Winner group B plays 3rd place of A/C/D, nothing of note in there. Runner up B plays Runner up F Hungary or maybe Portugal if they don't pick it up

laughs not only what MooMoo said but also Portugal look like a calamity waiting to happen, but you know King ron will score 6 single handed against us and then continue to be invisible for the rest of the tournement :):(

Llalana was a waste of space in the 1st game, there was only one way his performances could have gone from there

edit - didnt see the match , but sounds like England deserved the result , the highlights make it look like we nearly conceeded a 2nd after Sturridge scored (Bale header)

Slovakia game may well be the hardest of the group (even though they appeared to tire after about 70 mins in their game yesterday) - or at least England will make it hard for themselves.

I cant see anything other than a Wales win vs Russia, so while England qualify with a draw only a win will really do without getting a horrendous last 16 draw.

I didn't see the first game but Llanna was putting in a decent shift in this one.

Rooney was great again, for me that's two good performances from him against two teams who had no desire to play. Sterling needs took outside and shot and Kane needs to sort out whatever issues he is having right now but a decent performance all told.

I still think Roy is useless but I will give him some credit that he got the subs right unlike the first game where he only made it worse.

We could be a lot better but we are top of the group so if we keep improving (and keep Sterling out the team) we should finish top.

Be interesting to see what happens with Sterling - that miss early on shook his confidence I think - it might be a big factor or making or breaking his career.

I personally think he broke his career when he left Liverpool and sacrificed his future for a quick payrise. Bar the odd moments he has not even remotely been the same player, Guardiola may sort him but his biggest issue is his **** wide boy, attitude which he in no way can carry off considering his performances.

Well the worst 2 players from the Russia game, were terrible again.

There isn't time in these tournaments to put faith in a player.

Rooney has been solid for both games, although not perfect.

Wales tactics were awful. If it wasn't for the free kick, they offered nothing and Bale was nowhere to be seen.

Englamd need to show much more attacking credibility in the Slovakia game. Will struggle against good teams at the moment. Especially if England want to beat better teams, you have to take your chances.

:D

Get back to sorting your bald spot out Bale :D

Could always get some off Rooneys butt, worked for him.

Why do people here have such a massive hard on for wilshere? He's played next to no football this season for arsenal and looked naff when he came on against Russia. I don't see why people hate on Rooney so much either, his stats from the first game against Russia showed he was one of the best players on the pitch.

Rooneys stats from the first game against Russia were pretty bad if you analyse it. I never got to see the game today but sounds like we were lucky.

What passing range? the majority of passes he makes are simple sideways and backwards passes to players in wide open space, even players like Shelvey play far more purposeful and penetrative passes to strikers.

The last time we had a good attacking threat was the Germany game when he was absent, 10 man Portugal, Russia and Wales we've struggled to create more than a couple of chances, it's like watching Manchester United who as it happens have something in common.

This is the problem with England fans in general, someone whacks it 50 yards and they think it's difficult and therefore he's great because he did it. Rooney was dire today, his position, attacking central mid, dictates the tempo and style of attack. He was slow, poor, made simple passes, was caught on the ball far too easily and refused to take the quick offensive action given the chance and repeatedly went backwards or sideways instead.

He has no range of passing, his short incisive passing is terrible. His vision is poor and he has no idea where he's going before he receives the ball which is pretty much the no.1 trait required for that position. Fabregas knows who is making a run as the ball comes to him, he knows which opposition players are closing and the best way to move to avoid incoming players and find a quick pass forwards. Rooney has zero ability to do that, he gets the ball then thinks about what to do then usually picks the easiest and most worthless option.

He has been miserable in both games yet people think he's been our best player, it's insane. The reason our offensive players have looked poor is he's slowed our game down so much they have little room to move into and no expectation of quick passing.

It's because they are being told he is great. Even Rooney believes his own hype. It's embarrassing for us all. It's like an uncle dancing at a wedding and everyone is cheering him on.

I'll have to watch the highlights to see for myself.

Yup, the fawning afterwards from pundits was embarrassing, genuinely embarrassing.

Rooney did well. His passing was good. If you rate him as bad, the rest of the team were woeful at passing...

No, it really wasn't. Good passing means making harder passes well, purposefully refusing to make more difficult passes which resulted in the teams complete awfulness in attack and only making simple mostly backwards and sideways passing isn't good passing. The reason the offence was so poor was because the ball went through Rooney and it slowed down every attack.
