Good man Rooney! Some record to beat, regardless of all the talk about playing much easier teams, it's still an accomplishment not to be sniffed at.
 
A mixture of watching a Roy Hodgson team play and listening to Glen Hoddle is making me consider suicide. And I only turned it on 15 minutes ago.

Add 1 more penalty. Surprising hardly any of his goals are penalties. A great record.
 
We all know (including Rooney) that he'll always be held back by his poor major tournament record, which is what counts.

Yeah would prefer Walcott tbh, he deserves a start after scoring 2 goals in the previous game.

No keeper would have got to that, Rooney buried it.
 
Hes just won me £50 so I'm pretty happy that we got a penalty. Didn't look like scoring without it.
 
Crouch would've eventually beat that record if we'd kept picking him to play against San Marino and the likes in friendlies/qualification, his goal scoring record for England was probably better than Rooney's. He's not the type of player the FA want as England's best ever though is he?

Yeah, he's too hard to fit onto posters so he never stood a chance :(
 
Well done Rooney! You can't argue with that record.

Amazing to think how many he would be on if he wasn't a shadow of his younger self.
