As much as people criticise Welbeck he isn't that bad, better scoring rate than Rooney at the moment. He's a ST not LW/RW which was his given role at MUFC

Rooney or Welbeck need to come off second half, having both of them on is looking pointless. Stick Sterling or Townsend on, will probably make more chances as well going down the wings, it's another game that's too tight to play through the middle. We might see a bit more of Delph as well that way, at the moment it's mainly Wilshere getting the touches in midfield and we know he takes too many :p

All of our best chances have dropped to Rooney who has duly fluffed them.

Why did we ever drop Peter Crouch? he was a beast in England qualifying and tearing apart mickey mouse sides like Estonia.
 
Still think Fergie ruined Rooney, best young talent in generations and he's now a back to goal duffer with a touch like a rapist 95% of the time. :(
 
Great free kick from Rooney but for me he still doesn't do nearly enough in open play to keep his place, hasn't for years in an England shirt.
