UEFA Euro 2016 - The Final - Portugal vs France **spoilers** (10th July 2016)

Oh, and feel for Ronaldo, never a good time to be injured but to essentially miss the final when the team is overly reliant on you for goals. It's incredibly rare for an attacking player like him to still be at his peak at what 35 will he be the next tournament.

35 at the next Euros. 33 at the WC. If Portugal qualify, I'm sure he'll still be around in two years time. He won't want to retire like this.

It's actually amazing looking at Portugal's squad goal scoring records. Ronaldo has like 80% of their goals, Nani has 20 or something and then....it's a defender with 10. Such a ridiculous lack of goals in their squad.

Copa America was better than this, disappointing tournament overall.

Barely.

Continental tournaments these days are so poor in terms of entertainment. Because teams know each other so well and losing is such a bad result you get very conservative football.

Unfortunately, unless you are the much better team, it usually is the best thing to do.

Hopefully, world cups don't go this way.

It's not that ridiculous. How many goals are in the England squad if you take Rooney out? Is there a single other player with 10 goals, never mind 20?

Edit: Just checked the France squad and there's only 2 players with more than 10 goals there: Giroud and Griezmann. Nothing ridiculous about Portugal's squad.
