I can see why people seem to suggest that the Euro's is harder to win than the world cup. Pretty much all the last 16 teams bar Wales have all been decent.

The world cup is just full of a load of rubbish until you get to the quarters.

Viewed as a Brit it does feel kinda patronising. The thing is that while we see Germany as one of two real rival sides, the Germans - unlike the Argentinians - don't really reciprocate. England is just another quality European side over here. The Netherlands are seen much more as the rival team.

Exactly, they lost for the first time in a meaningful game to England in about 60 odd years, a team they barely think about more than we think about the likes of Portugal and Italy. We beat their worst team in years in a game that could have easily gone either way if Muller buries his chance. Not a shock that they find the massive reaction 'cute' in a way .
