Not saying there weren't problems before, but how much of it is down to the pandemic? Might be like the first day of school for a short while, where folks have to learn to behave themselves a bit.

Also the fact the stadiums aren't full makes it feels more personal for some reason.

I dunno.

The best we looked all night was when we had Foden Grealish and Henderson all on, the team seems to have more balance and can control a game much better.

Yep totally agree. People gushing over a manager who is finally forced to make some subs which completely change the game in our favour and then he tries to roll back the changes need their heads examined. Mans a complete idiot and we have got to the final with arguably the best squad in the tournament and the easiest run. If we don't win it I would consider that a failure. Losing in the last WC against the first half handy side we played should have got him the sack.

We have a fantastic bunch of young, attacking players and Southgate has us playing like a **** PL side fighting promotion. Its sad to see.

Nah, a section of England fans has always behaved this way. It does get overblown though as other nations around the world really do have some intolerable fans. There's an argument to be made that we should be better than some of those nations as quite a few aren't far off third world but it's hard to shake certain cultures off.

As usual, people are focusing on a small but vocal minority, the number of fans booing the anthem yesterday in Wembley would have been a small proportion. Similar to those who were booing the taking of the knee in certain grounds, it gets made out it's an entire set of fans in the ground but it's not.

So why didn't they charge England for booing after the Germany game?
or after the Ukraine game in Italy? You could hear it there too. I think it's because they had to charge the laser so let's just make the sheet a bit longer while we're at it (and hopefully limit the booing for the final).

Booing is all just part of the theatre for me, a bit like booing the baddie in a panto.

It's all just a game at the end of the day, I don't understand why people get so offended by it.

Yes, football it is a contact sport but not a FULL contact sport. I think that's where your getting confused.

Get in England, in a final, didn't think i'd see that in my lifetime lololol.
Yes you are correct, though that contact also includes things like the ball being headed.

What I meant is that the phrase "football is a contact sport" is used to excuse fouls on players or dangerous play which it clearly does not.

If I barely touched the foot of somebody running past me at high speed then I'm pretty sure they will stumble or fall. If I do the same thing on a football pitch then that is a foul. It seems like many saying it was not a foul/penalty here have never played football at a decent level or have an ulterior motive.

A dive is when there is no contact whatsoever, if the player tries to initiate contact himself or if the player goes down long after any contact was made. Sterling did none of these yesterday, though I believe I have seen him do at least one of those on a previous occasion, which is besides the point.

fireworks? when were there fireworks, or have I missed something? certainly not in the way we played that's for sure.

fireworks were let off as we were leaving the stadium. This was outside and definitely not inside. The area was crowded down wembley way so maybe that’s why?
