We're lightyears behind Spanish youngsters, it's so embarrassing to see them kicking it about without any attention to first touch/simple passing, then to see the ball bounce off the shins of all our players and then for them to 'get rid'. Going to take us decades to catch up

Mancienne starts in CM again tonight, seriously, is Pearce joking?

Not only was he the worst player on the pitch Sunday, he's also a crap centre half pretending to be a central midfielder.

Been really impressed by Smalling, but no one else looks that great.

Of course I don't think playing in a Stuart Pearce managed team helps any of them much - he is the biggest stifler of creativity I have seen as manager. Everything needs to be very rigid and organised. I thought WC 2010 was more his fault than Capello's.

Smalling does look a class above everyone else tbh.

Sturridge looks dire though which is weird as I really rate him.

Not as good as he was the other day but ok, getting a bit frustrated though.

They're playing quite negative route one and we don't look like we'd break them down if we had 90 days let alone 90 minutes atm.
