Uh oh, here come's the biannual whingathon!

I'd like to thank @Diddums for this thread.

In posting it I have come to realise that my employer has made a boo-boo with my driving hours, specifically that they've scheduled me less than 8.5hrs rest period due to the loss of the hour.
 
There is something called SAD, where people get depressed from around October time. It's because of the darker months of the year coming up. All of the people who aren't whinging now will be whinging in the other biannual thread when the clocks go back to GMT.

There is reverse-SAD as well. Not as common, but it still exists and that's when people are affected by the lighter months. Really not a fan of Spring/Summer myself. Bring on late August when most of the heatwaves are over and the nights are clearly drawing in, and then late September when the day is back to being shorter than nights again.
