Definitely getting HDR on my Panny DX700b on Netflix/Amazon and it displays it in top left corner when you switch. Re the HLG app update, I understood Panasonic stated the DX700 models would get this update but no sign of it yet. Any more info on this. Have to say Star Trek Discovery HDR looks very good even though its 1080p, can be a little grainy now and then though. Altered Carbon also looks fantastic and like an adult version of Blade Runner.
I think certain shows use grain to make it more lifelike.

I don't see grain with my eyes......

:p ;)

One thing I can't stand is grain and noise in media content! The walking dead does my head in for this....

Sully was very nice in UHD especially when Sully is on the streets of NYC and in time square.

TBH, every single film is a lot nicer in HDR, even if it is something like get out or sully as those moments where you have things like street lamps and so on just really add depth to the image.

Valerian is stunning in HDR, probably up there with pacific rim, possibly even beating it.....

The film is absolutely awful though.
