Nothing it seems for you dude. Each to their own i guess! No offence....

Doesn't float my boat but i cannot fathom why you would put trans porn in the same catagory as violent/rape porn (the later being 'extreme content' in this country). I can understand taking the view that maybe the later should be banned or heavily controlled because it can provoke unhealthy recreations if you believe the whole monkey see- monkey do but why ladyboys?

Do you think people will see ladyboys on the internet and decide they will become one or that it would suddenly make them more attracted to ladyboys and so should be restricted or something?

Just want to understand why you think there is a benefit to putting a restriction specifically to a bloke wearing woman's stuff.

Really if you think porn should be restricted with a log in, it should be restricted for all categories simply because it is explicit content.

There is also a bunch of porn on reddit.

They gonna block reddit too?

Not only that there's loads of it on Twitter/Youtube and other socal media sites.

Also a lot of news sites seem to report that some of the most questionable and downright illegal stuff is posted on these sites yet its not part of the filtering.

As Screeeech said it'll probably done at the ISP/DNS server level similar to how they block torrent sites, except they'll add a login screen? even then though if you know the actual IP's you can circumvent it.

If it's anything like many of the other restrictions you should be able to bypass all this by either just changing your DNS server to an international one (like googles), or just using something like unlocator.

Anyone that thinks this will do anything to stop under 18s looking at porn is almost certainly over 50, or was home schooled.

The other thing this may end up doing is drive people away from mainstream porn sites to smaller sites that may be a lot more "relaxed" on the content they host.

Can we also have this for Xbox live and PSN as any age restricted game will need an ID or are violet computer games ok?

It won't be long until VPNs/tor and encryption are illegal. So if you're viewing porn over a secure VPN you'll be being very naughty.

As for monitoring/surveillance, with so much personal data getting into the wrong hands these days, i dont trust anyone more than i have to.

Imagine if everyone wore their kinks on a name badge. Doesn't matter if your kinks are harmless or whatever, people judge and hold all sorts of prejudices.

Sex is something that is of particular interest to us and i can only imagine what sort of stupid things would happen if everyone knew their stuff because some website out there let you search someones stolen browsing history at the cost of a few quid. Some people would be shamed for their kinks, others would blackmail them or take it as some stupid sign that they are up for what they searched.

If you are a young bloke into vanilla stuff, hooray for you-whoever looked you up wasted their few quid. If you are a good looking, young woman that works in a bar and have been known to surf even a bit of kink, work might just turn into harassment hour because a group of lads found out your name. Work politics may have you out of a job for practically no reason but your kink has some stigma associated with it, even if the kink is fairly tame.

Indeed - I know someone who works as a teacher at a faith school - nothing illegal but some of her interests outside of work would definitely not go down well if her employer was aware heh.

People get prejudged due to things as stupid as tattoos, piercings, accents or even kinds of music. Imagine if you had to give your internet history in with your CV... My work would find out how much i actually have to google!

Plus, there's the potential for your porn surfing to be used as character evidence in court. Sure, it might not be illegal, but there's a pretty good chance a number of the jury will be shocked by it anyway - will count against you

This should be something that is optional when signing up to an ISP, governments shouldn't be enforcing age checks with credit card details for legal content.

I just think it's a load of old twaddle. I'm sure it will have very little effect in regards to who's actually able to watch it, but it just shows you the kind of doddery old imbeciles that are thinking this **** up. Sexual experience (or the nature of discovering anything to do with it) is SOOOOO important for young people. It's mad to me that when this law comes into play, you'll still be able to legally have sex 2 years before you can watch it!!!

Agree with the principle, although more control measures should be given to parents to regulate exposure as the government should not have absolute control on what we can and can't consume.
