UKFSN users in plz

@Sniper Wolf
Perhaps try ringing BT, if you're syncing higher, but getting lower speeds and have been for more than 2/3 days, you may have a stuck profile, which is a BT issue, otherwise, you may have hit a ADSL Max issue - sync low at any point, and for the next few days that is your profile, until you have a higher speed for several days in a row. I've had that one myself, but thats been down to line issues and the way ADSL max works.

Hmm, what are you supposed to do on the 2nd page where you put your details when your migrating in, it has a login with @adsllogin.co.uk on the end, and asks for a password etc... whats supposed to go in there as it asks for my e-mail address below my name/address.

As far as I remember the adsllogin is where you put your ukfsn supplied ADSL username, and password, or the ones you chose with them.
Cant remember exactly though.

They ask for your email, as they send out a lot of info on network changes etc via email.

You wouldn't have a UKFSN username/password supplied by them to go there at that point as you aint put your order in yet, its the migration process im going through, you put in your MAC code, phone number, select your package etc..., then the second page comes up for you to put in your details, says something about hot-mail being blocked so not to use that, and asks for a @adsllogin.co.uk username/password, and also your name address, and your normal e-mail address for the info they send to you, unless that @adsllogin.co.uk is to make an account or something.

ISTR it is asking you for a username and password, which you have to make up for yourself... i.e [email protected] and choose a password.

Right had the first 2x e-mails confirming my order from Enta, login details etc... and the one about making the first payment, but it went a bit iffy there so i had to phone them up. :D

When id put my details in to make the payment, and clicked on the 'Make Payment' button it went for a bit, then i got this red message about Visa authorisation was required, and if the window had been blocked (which it had) to click here, so i did that and i just got the free Visa authorisation jobbie that you can do, but it said at the bottom either register for the free service now, or do it later, then i got confused, why would i be able to click on do it later if on the payment screen it was saying in red that the authorisation was required, so then i didn't know if my payment had gone through or what then.

Then i also started thinking that my card is not a proper Visa, its just a debit card, and i remember on my old card it used to say Visa Delta, but my new one just says Visa, and i remembered that in the list of cards under Visa it also had Delta, so then i started to think if id selected the right one, should i have selected the delta one instead, as the payment may not go through as its not a proper Visa etc... so i had to phone them up, but did i get a shock, phone was answered by a lovely lady after a couple of rings, but she couldn't help me as my order was not done yet so she put me through to a lovely sounding girl in admin who must have found my order details as she then put me through to the billing, and a really friendly sounding guy took my payment details there and then, and said that its gone through now, and so it will move onto the next stage, so i asked him about what happens about the payments from now on etc... and he explained it all, said i could phone, set up DD etc... and id get all those details through once the migration has happened or something, as he said they don't do all that now just in case theres any problems with the migration, but he said thats like one in a million. :)

What a great sounding bunch of ppl though, so now im just waiting for other e-mails etc... i spose with how its progressing. :)

The Entanet tech support guy is english sounding too! Its a miracle! :D

Heheh, on the slightly more serious note, its nice to see they still have in-house, IN ENGLISH support :D

Yeah was amazing, all very friendly on the phone, and i could understand them, and them me :D, what a difference, i suppose ill be getting my e-mails about router settings, and my IP etc... soon as well now. :)

Only thing i do find odd is, i went to the UKFSN website to see if my account had been set up as per the e-mail, and indeed it has, but theres no way to sign out out of it once you go in.

Just had a look and got my confirmation, my activation has been confirmed for the 2nd Feb (which is the 7 days date i had to specify), and ive got my IP address, but i thought i would get all the other router settings as well, surely if i just change it to the new supplied IP, and then change my login username/password to the ones supplied it aint just gona work like that is it.

I can't sign into my account on UKFSN now, keeps coming up with an internal error.

This man speaks the truth. My UKFSN was activated today, been connected about an hour so far.

Yeah just had a look and there they are, had a quick look at where they go in my router (as ive never set it up before maually, and its my first ever router so when i set it up for AOL i just did the automatic setup one, so it set itself up and all i had to do was enter my AOL username/password when it asked for them), but i found where they go, and it seems straight forward, i only need to enter the IP i was given, my username/password, and put the primary/secondary DNS in, and just change the MTU as the rest are the same, so hopefully i should be cooking on gas as they say.

Im all set now for the switch, bye, bye AOL. :)

Has anybody set up a mandate using a credit card on the enta billing site, everytime i do it and select the set card (or whatever the button says, i forget), it goes for a bit, then i get the red message that mentions the free Visa Authorisation that you can set up, this time its only got an 'Apply Now' button, but im not sure which e-mail address to use for it, i could use my new UKFSN one, but i cant find anywhere on the UKFSN site where to go into your e-mail to read them etc..., and im not sure about using my gmail one, and im also not sure about using my AOL one still, as i'll still have that after ive migrated, and it won't set the payment method to my card till i fill in the free Visa Authorisation, i suppose i could set it up the other way by DD, but id rather use my card.
