Hopefully it wont be to long then. :)

Just sent another email 5 mins ago:
We will not be able to confirm the migration date until BT confirm when
they will complete the order. It is unlikely to be any sooner than 5
working days.

Check that for a speedy response.

Bad luck that and yeah they do respond mega fast to emails, i was on Nilly and waited 4 months for a reply one time, the engineer even phone up even though i left them 3 weeks before, oh and they still managed to charge me this month although i left last month idiots springs to mind.

my migration went through today from zen now ukfsn.I was on 2mb with zen and i should be on 8mb now but my router connects still at 2mb.I emailed ukfsn and was told it takes around 10 days for my line to go through a test period ,whatever that means ?

The lowest sync rate ive seen is about 6900 summit, so looks like 6mb stable for me, my IP profile started off at 6000, then dropped to 5500 about Monday/Tuesday, now its back to 6000 again today, but i dont know if im in training as AOL put me on MAX before i migrated, and i was on a 6000 IP profile on there, i was on their max for about 20 days as well. :)

Generally the most common cause of this issue would be the MTU setting. To correct this please ensure that the MTU value on your router is set to 1492.

If this does not resolve the problem then it will be necessary for you to change the MTU directly on your PC. For windows users a tool to do this can be found at the following URL:

http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp

Download this tool and change the MTU to 1492 on the required network adapter. If this does not resolve your problem then please contact the Support Desk.

my local exchange is showing as red and says there is updates set for 9/feb/2007 my exchange is the Bedlington exchange.I hope this is what is giving me the prob

how strict are UKFSN in regards to their peak time bandwidth policy?just checked my allowance this morn and i am over the 30 gb limit by 1.3 g :( ?
this was my first month, will have to be more careful next month
and i do wish that bandwidth checker was updated more often too :(

^ you will get charged an extra fiver because you went over your allowence. If it happens on a regular basis, you will be asked to move up to the next package.

so if i am going to be charged a fiver i might as well keep the pc on today and d/l to my hearts content :p
i now realise what happened forgot to turn off my pc yesterday when i went to work :(

:(
We wish to inform you that we today debited £35.87 from your Visa card.
drat,if i had known earlier i would have raped the connection all month
still only got my self to blame, worst thing is it should have reset last night at midnight and it is still showing as over the limit
what is up with that checker

You too? I left Nildram in Nov after paying a full month in advance, and then got charged AGAIN in December even though they said i'd paid right up to 30th Nov... I left on the 7th Nov

Good luck getting it back, it's took them 3 months to give them what they owe me.

How do I check if interleaving is on, on my line?

I've had a look about in my router but can't find anything about interleaving?

EDIT: Crap! i've just been reading the UKFSN website, do you have to use NO-NAT with UKFSN ? Because i've orderd it and i dont have a No-NAT router =O

No NAT? I think my netgear DG834 has NAT, so I'm using UKFSN with no problems. Although I'm not sure what it is :p

EDIT: It does work with NAT if you use a single static IP, I think you get 8 different ones, and thats when you need to turn NAT off. But I don't bother with that.

Few, nice one mate i thought i was going to have to mess around a lot setting it up. Good news that i dont need to use no-NAT :)

Can i ask, when should i recive my IP address etc from UKFSN? i've got about 4 more days untill i'm suposed to be activated.

No point making a new thread on this; for those who don't read adslguide forums or check noc.enta.net they are lighting another segment on Friday and the new central comes online on the 7th of March.
