Speaking of TV, I was in Latvia a few weeks back and the government has turned off all the Russian tv stations, which is pretty damn racist to the large proportion of ethnic russians living in Latvia.

The BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) are currently trying to move away from trading in USD (which has been the worlds reserve currency since WW2). Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran have all already tried or aim to do the same.

- Attacks/abductions on foreign journalists
- Persecutions of Tatars in Crimeea
- Attacks on the freedom of expression in Eastern Ukraine

What a load of nonsense. The US is looking to unleash it's shale oil on the global market to bring the price of oil down. Why on earth do you think they want to keep it high?!

The people who benefit most from high oil prices are the Russians, Saudis and so forth. Not the Americans who are thus far net importers!
