I don't think it matters really in the context of what is going on.

He will just be replaced like for like (hope I'm wrong but I don't see any other outcome).

Mr Putin's spokesman on Thursday described Mr Danilov’s remarks as “nothing short of an announcement of an upcoming terrorist attack.”

“This is unacceptable,” Dmirty Peskov said.

“Clearly, we see signs of what should receive a legal assessment and entail the appropriate penalty.”

China are already a superpower, up there and about to surpass the USA. They say aircraft carriers are a show of strengh and the USA still has top spot but China are building them rapidly now and expect another 4 this year.

Thats a huge acheivment but is a telling sign of the manpower they have to get this done.

This is almost like the Russian buildup on the Ukrain border. We all knew there was a reason but let it happen anyway. The military drills with belarus was a poor excuse but it worked.

China could be doing the same thing add another 10 aircraft carries over the next few years and they are pretty much unstopable.

For Putin it's the old days back, the USSR.

For Xi it's the South China Sea and all that lie in it, Xi has always said it's Chines and will be again.

But to beat Taiwan and the USA they need the strenght of the aircraft carriers to match the USA

I just don't understand why the west can't see this. This is a full scale attack on the west, stop buying from China.
