It's still a special operation, it's an important difference in Russia due to constitutional legalities (crazy for how authoritarian they are)
I believe there's also important legal differences.

I.E the Falklands conflict is generally referred to as the "Falklands War" by the UK media and in conversation by most Brits, but it wasn't technically a war as neither side declared on each other, this had important legal ramifications because even though the USA supplied us with massive amounts of military aid and France with intel/assistance neither of them was aiding an enemy of Argentina during a war which was important politically and legally (had the Argentina Junta had the balls to declare on us it would have made their position less tenable and maybe even made retaking the islands impossible).

Similar legalities/political issue apply here, I.E as neither Russia nor Ukraine have formally declared war on each other Russia's invasion is not technically a war in the legal sense and so we are not supplying their enemies at a time of war, this means our supply planes/vehicles/etc are not legitimate military targets. Russia declaring on Ukraine would change that (obviously it has a LOT of disadvantages for them too).

Hmmm declaring war is a big admission that the 'special operation' was a failure, would Putin really do that
Also if the regular army performs this poorly and their logistics are so broken I can't see pouring vast amounts of conscripts without any equipment and minimal training is going to help much.

Has this war made anyone else just think that Russia is a trash nation? I just can’t take them seriously anymore, they are horrible and unless a Russian explicitly denounces Putin or the war I have no respect for them. The type of garbage they are pumping out on their equivalent of BBC is ridiculous.

Nuclear tidal waves wth.

Wonder if the runway at Uzhhorod was designed that way on purpose or just how it happened - makes it a bit risky for Russia to try and attack it without risking hitting Polish targets.
Isn't the runway on the Ukraine/Slovakia border and more than 50km from the Polish border?

They had every chance to join the Western fold but turned their noses up at it and instead decided to be North Korea on steroids, I wouldn't call them trash, just mental

"Hey Britain, we need half the population to die. "

Yes, I can see that working well

It's going to happen. This war and covid outbreak is just speeding up the process, countries that are not self sufficient will see their population decrease in time to come

I have substantial suspicions that the west is ratting out russian activities to ukraine.

I dare say a ww1 artillery unit could also flatten an important location if a third party was sending them accurate coordinates and intel.
Intelligence shared by the U.S. helped Ukraine sink the Russian cruiser Moskva, U.S. officials told NBC News, confirming an American role in perhaps the most embarrassing blow to Vladimir Putin’s troubled invasion of Ukraine.

also in that article..

“We do not provide intelligence on the location of senior military leaders on the battlefield,” Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters Thursday, adding that the U.S. shares intelligence with Ukrainian forces but does not tell them who or what to attack.
