As has been shown above Poland would be far from fine. Also Poland isn't the 4th biggest economy in the world and a monster manufacturer. Poland is the 21st biggest economy and a minnow by comparison. Once again you've just spurted something out without thinking it through. The German economy tanking would be a disaster for all of us and the lack of that gas would place even more pressure on the remaining gas market pushing prices even higher. There would be no winners from that happening, just losers and lots of them.

I don't care about the russian loving germany.
This is war. Everyone and his dog has to give up something.

Clearly you don't care to use your brain or you wouldn't post such ill thought out rubbish. Deuse wants to plunge Europe and likely the West into a bigger recession because he doesn't like Germany. We all have to give something up, be that jobs, homes, food, heating because deuse doesn't like Germany... or Poland or France or Italy or Bulgaria or the UK, which will be hurt by the huge rise in natural gas prices as all those countries enter the market for gas to replace Russian gas. So basically we're all up **** creek because deuse

They may find is tough now.
But Poland will come out ahead in years to come.

Oh so now you admit it would hurt Poland but its fine because in a few years time they'll be better off. Obviously the people who died as they froze to death over the harsh Polish winter won't be or the people who lost their jobs as Polish industry collapses due to electricity shortages won't be and on and on and on :rolleyes:

You can call me names all you like.

But at the end of the day it's war.
Those countries was warned not to deal with the devil. And now it's coming back to bite them.

I am so glad people like you was not around in WW1 and WW2

Blimey, nothing about Ukraine on BBC news website this morning!
Watching various videos and reading up on recent accounts the so called 'Donbas Offensive' has ground to halt with both sides now engaging in an artillery battle which tells us that Russia is quickly running out of momentum after taking heavy casualties and the tide may slowly be turning in Ukraine's favour. There's still a window of opportunity for Russia though, they sill have way more heavy weapons on the battlefield then Ukraine and the Ukraine has to use it's soviet era artillery shells sparingly at least until they can deploy the NATO/western systems in full.

Some experts have suggested that by June Ukraine will be able to launch to big counter offensive as by then they should have sufficient people trained on western artillery systems and there territorial army (circa 200K) will have undergone 4 months of training and preparation ready to push back the Russians.

Some people will never miss the opportunity for a cheap shot at europe.

In the real world, countries that care little about the europe situation (as demonstrated by India and as I said would happen previously) will simply switch their supplies to Russian sourced oil/gas etc as much as possible to take benefit from the discount
Whilst the ones that do care will be fighting over the non russian sources (obviously where the UK get our imports) and as such we will see prices go up there.

They are attempting to source other supplies but that will take time due to new infrastructure being required. You just want to turn the tap off overnight and screw the consequences which will be far and wide.

No it isn't war. Germany isn't at war with Russia, Poland isn't at war with Russia.

People like me were around, as my paternal grandfather was at Dunkirk along with 2 of my great uncles who were in the Gloucesters.

If we want to keep supporting Ukraine its vital our economies keep working, you want to plunge our economies into chaos, that is really going to help Ukraine isn't it

Even your god said what I am saying.

"He cautioned the EU against going ahead with the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. No country should use energy as a weapon, Biden said referring to past episodes of Moscow cutting off gas supplies in winter."

"US Vice President Joe Biden warned European countries against becoming too dependent on Russian oil and gas, saying it would be "bad" for Europe."

Germany is doing nothing other than supporting russia.

Exactly the EU only has itself to blame. If you dance with a monster you need to be prepared to fight the monster. The EU (Germany) is 100% at fault. The German economy needs a slap in the face due to them only ever doing what is best for Germany.

rubbish, everything he says is what Putin is thinking, its his job to voice Putin's opinions

Be interesting to know what goes on behind the scenes - sometimes I feel like a few close to Putin, especially Lavrov, have played on his paranoias and prejudices and so on to inflate and engineer this situation. The look in his eyes, the things he says, Lavrov is something close to pure evil.

End of the day though amongst other things Putin couldn't have Ukraine seen to be a success as it gravitated towards the West or he'd lose his grip on power.

To be fair, the situation changed significantly with russia's (recent) invasion of Ukraine. Not too many people were campaigning for a total ban on Russian imports in January of this year.

I don't think destroying the EU's manufacturing capacity is a good long-term choice.

The EU was told in 2016 that it was a very bad idea to rely on russia.
