It is alleged the reason Russian troops are looting washing machines and dishwashers is to take the chips to fix military gear due to the lack of chips because of sanctions.

I would be fascinated to hear which chips were worthwhile. Eproms? Can you imagine reverse engineering a bosch washer controller for repurposing for military use? I am not an expert (but we hate them now right?) but it sounds like fluff to me
