Americans are also working on a HIMARS V2 and just completed some test firing.
The HIMARS V2 is unmanned, the cab is removed as humans do not operate the vehicle on site. The space saving is allocated to additional launch tubes, as such the HIMARS V2 can hold 18 GMLRS rockets vs the 6 that the v1 has. However it can't be remotely reloaded so once a V2 has fired it's 18 GMLRS rockets or 6 PrSM missiles it has to return to base to reload. The HIMARS V2 can be remotely controlled or can be given coordinates to head to and will drive itself to the location and then engage target coordinates and then return to be reloaded
