Ok I'm at work so I'll check later. But...
What's your solution to this war?

So the first point to establish here is: Ukraine are fighting this war based on determination to survive, this is evident by how well the Ukraine army is operating vs a force who simply has no will to fight. NATO are not forcing Ukraine to fight.

Therefore we should continue to support Ukraine, both in terms of ability to defend existing land and reclaim lost territory, the solution and way out of this war is to form a uniform front, punish Russia and make it understand the cost of it's actions and give Russia an offramp.

1. Keep supporting Ukraine with training, gear and money.
2. Continue to spell out to Russia that it will be a pariah state unless it plays by international norms.
3. Continue to ramp up the political and financial costs to Russia.
4. Allow Ukraine to try and win this fight without getting NATO involved in the conflict.
5. Start to set a path forward for Russia, i.e. political change means a slow re-integration into the rest of the world.
6. If Russia crosses a red line, i.e. attacks or invades a NATO country then get involved in the conflict.

Russia entered this conflict based on the opinion Europe was politically divided, relations with the US was poor and due to this we would never come together to appose any Russia incursions.

The above has proven to be one of the largest military blunders of recent history, Putin needs to understand that NATO are willing to go the whole way with this, i.e. nuclear conflict if needed, anything else and Russia will just see weakness and continue to exploit its nuclear position.

What if it wasn't UKR at all. after all they would need to drive a truck with tons of explosives on board for 1000's of Km through Russia. What if it was an internal Russian faction, esp as there were all sorts of high explosive cigarette fires deep inside Russia(e.g all the fires inside Russia.. that Oligraghs daughter in a car bomb) the TU22's that got got last night deep inside Russa ) . So.. said faction could either be anti-putin or pro war, wanting to use this as an excuse to escalate even more(or both). esp as Russia was very quick to name the truck driver.. How would they know if the truck was...well nothing

You've rather missed the point - Putin will likely use nuclear weapons to stop this from happening.

I can only assume that many of posters here are rather detached from the reality of what is happening (pro-tip - what happens in the news is not just a picture on your screen.)

Instead of a reasoned response, I get rolling with laughter emojis, which says a lot about the level of the debate.

Maybe you were living under a rock? To be honest, I'm not sure how you could have missed it...

I think I'll leave you armchair warriors to it - I'm out.
What makes you think negotiations would work or even achieve anything lasting? We've tried it multiple times before with Russia and prior agreements have never stuck. Putin is fluent in one language and that is the way of the gun, most of the world seems to have grasped this now and the only way to get him to back down.

I'm reluctant to take too much pleasure in broken bridges, because after so much good news for Ukraine's independence my fear of something nasty happening in return is huge. However this is nerdy genius...
Edit: Radio2's currently playing "cry me a river". Can't help wondering if this is "just a coincidence".

The truck on the right was going up when it blew.
I don't think Ukraine would do a suicide bombing.

To me. It's either planted explosives or a exploding drone boat.

It's almost certainly the latter I reckon.

(The photo of the supposed truck driver is a joke btw.. guys - for people not aware see the small text below the image/google Sam Hyde ;) )

Suicide attack? Wouldn't have expected that.

I don't think it is actually, it doesn't make sense, maybe an RC truck but that's getting silly, the truck and the train were Russian guesses.

I think it's a drone boat, getting the train might have been a lucky bonus depending on how much they've been able to observe while coordinating this, how far away it's controlled from etc.. I guess with satellite support then perhaps the train isn't coincidental either.
