Armed forces stopping some Panama registered ship in International waters for an ‘inspection’.
How do you think navies operate if they don’t do this?
I said attack, not inspect.

Ah well chance to clear up the mistake I guess.
No, these are the very highly trained (by US SF and SOF) Afghan Special Forces troops, the ones who fought to the end despite being left behind, cut-off and unsupported, by the rest of the Afghan Army who were the ones that did drop their weapons and flee. These are the troops that the US SF/SOF were desperately trying to get evacuated and, because of US Government failures during the exacuation, they got left behind and so became mercenaries for hire instead, selling their training and experience to the highest bidders.
It's a tale as old as time - US trains locals, US support at home waivers, US Government pulls out and ditches trained locals, trained locals now hate US or become Mercs - rinse and repeat from the 50's onwards.
Sounds like he is begining to soften the demandsPutin:
- We Are Not Ending Our Participation in Black Sea Grain Export Deal, Just Suspending It
- Ukraine Must Guarantee Ship Safety Of UN Grain Corridor
- Ukraine Must Also Guarantee Safety For Russian Navy
- Very Difficult To Work With European Partners Directly
- Claims That Russia Blew Nord Stream Itself Is 'Crap'
- Haven't Decided Whether He Will Go To G-20, APEC
- Russia Will Wait Until Ukraine Is Ready To Negotiate
- Monday’s Attacks on Ukrainian Infrastructure Were in Part a Response to Attack on Fleet In Sevastopol
- Russian Attacks on Ukraine on Monday Were Not All We Could Do
- We Can Set Up a Gas Hub in Turkey Quite Quickly
- I Am Sure Gas Contracts Will Be Signed, There Will Be Many In Europe Who Want To Do So
Sounds like Russia are trying to negotiate. It’s a slightly odd way to do it but I guess they don’t want to be the ones to initiate it so are trying in a very passive way.Putin:

Was a quick mention on Sky News this morning suggesting public support for UK spending support may be starting to wane due to the CoL crisis.
I'll admit, I thought this may happen at some point but it took a little longer than I thought.
If so, it's foolish. If the current rulers of Russia succeed in using military force to steal resources, take territory, eradicate a people, etc, the result won't be a reduction in prices and an increase in supply. Quite the opposite. If it's successful for them, they'll do it more. Going back to mostly peaceful trading as long as we ignore their actions in their own country and some literal murdering for political reasons in other countries (including our own) won't be an option. That ended when Putin ordered the conquest of Ukraine. It won't return unless there's a regime change in Russia (and maybe not even if there is).
Jesus, they are going to be dying in droves come full winter.
'OK Google, show me a tweet that didn't age well.'
We don't really want another country to become actively engagd in this war though. At the moment Ukraine and the 'West' have the moral high ground and we should try and retain that for as long as possible. Yes, we know that the Bilarissians are involved to a certain extent but Poland, etc don't want an active combatant on their borders.Ukraine should be hitting Belarus too in its airfields that are used to launch missiles and planes into Ukraine
I've seen a few of Max's Tweets pop up over the last few months - seems to be one of those people who, somewhat validly, call out Western propaganda, lies or other undesirable aspects, etc. but then inexplicably fall completely for the counterpoint Russian lies and propaganda - which is usually far worse than the stuff they are calling out... all you can do really is facepalm as they are either Russian assets of some form or just very stupid people (or both) - despite sometimes capable of eloquence of thought and word and/or even formidable in some aspects of intellect.
Though seems to be a political agenda as well with Max.
