I disagree with it being 30K of their best soldiers, maybe 30K of the best forces they are willing or able to commit - but people hugely underestimate how much it is representation from their best forces vs all composed of their best forces - they've not chucked like full division or army group strength from their elite guards divisions at Ukraine though they've expended many of the most experienced regiments, etc. from those divisions (many of which have taken 90% casualties). A large amount is meat grinder from essentially conscripts.
They can fix a bridge faster than we can.
Its the beginning of the end now, Ukraine really need to push before winter sets in and we fall into a stalemate pattern which suits the Orc`s then it goes back to being in the middle.
Yep and there is wall now on Belarus border as well.Speaking in past-tense? Poland has already started two weeks ago building defence on border with Kaliningrad
Looks like Russia were sick of getting their butts kicked and they will be retreating from Kherson to Crimea region to more established positions. Looks like they have just been attempting to hold the line long enough for some seriously heavy defensive lines they are constructing.
No idea how effective those will be, but UKR held bahmukh for months because of well established positions. I sincerely hope UKR haven't left it too long to be able to liberate Crimea.
They need to take the Nova Kakhovka area around the canal lock back before they can do that.Shut off the water supply then.
Russia might retreat from the town but not the Kherson region. There is no chance that the Ukraine army will be able to cross the river with the Russians on the east bank.Looks like Russia were sick of getting their butts kicked and they will be retreating from Kherson to Crimea region to more established positions. Yet it's a sensible decision because getting stuff across that river is a logistical nightmare for them with Himars hitting the barges every other dayThat is a huge loss of face for Russia.
