In case no ones noticed it's not all republicans against Ukraine, the vast majority of them support it.

The ones making the noise are of course Trumps stooges. As Trump is a Russian spy then they side with Putin.

Bottom line here is NATO are so supportive because they get to see their biggest threat, beaten, humiliated and destroyed for a good few years because of this war.

The bonus is they don't need to fire a shot so no body bags coming home, its a win win situation for them.

It will take Russia a very long time to recover, most likely without Putin and hopefully a more open minded moderate in charge.

With the USA annual defence budget of just under 900 billion, yes 900 billion that spending in Ukraine barely dents just one years budget.

China too will be secretly loving this as that's who Russia will turn to for financial help, both now and when it's all over, China will have them over a barrel.

Putin will be secretly devastated that he screwed this up so bad, he thought it would be over in three days with Ukraine begging for mercy, he knows that this ends with a bullet in the back of the head, he doesn't recover from this one.

Glad to see the Russian women who told her husband to rape Ukrainian women has been placed on a international wanted list. I'd love for her to get grabbed and dragged into court in The Hague. For a woman to say that is just horrifying.

Hopefully she gets picked up when shes on holiday in somewhere like turkey when all of this is finally over

But at least it will hang over her head and stop her enjoying any visits to western countries in the future, long after the war is over.

Actually France had more tanks than Germany at the start of the war, many of them functionally superior in some aspects (like armour) to their German counterparts. The difference came down to doctrine. Many french tanks were designed for infantry support as they were geared up for a refight of WW1

After seeing that, I can understand why half of them die to vodka poisoning, it's such a depressing place to live, if you aren't drinking yourself into a stupor then you are permanently depressed

Years ago I did a advertising shoot for Inmarsat on Sakhalin. Can't remember the exact month but there was still lots of snow and it was damned cold. I got talking with some American and Brits who were there building the pipeline that went from the north of the island to the south so they could ship the gas out all year round as the sea is frozen in the north in winter. Anyway they were saying how the Russians spent all their time drunk and when the thaw arrives they start finding bodies of those that got lost or just fell asleep when drunk at night and get covered up by fresh snow fall, there was at least 2m of snow where we were. They said it can be dozens over the course of a winter that died and weren't found until the spring.
