The amazing thing is, Putin could just pack up and leave, and have no more Russian deaths. It literally is a choice for him to lose so many souls. The Ukrainians have no choice but to fight. (No, surrender is not an option on my view).

Wagner group, convicts, mercenaries and others of society's marginals doubt Putin has little if any direct control and their leader does not hold back on criticism of Putin they're almost a law unto themselves operating semi independently of the Kremlin, it doesn't look good for a post-Putin future dominated by neo nazi groups and other vested interests. The political desolation kind of reminds of post-WWI germany

Isn't that all those Wagner guys, as far as I know their leader dude wants the salt mine in Bakhmut and will see them all killed to get it.

Funny thing though is even if he does get it it will be getting hammered by HIMARS all the time so no real way to mine it.

I do wish the Russians weren't so passive about it all and would start asking relevant questions about who sent them there and who doesn't care how many he Russian conscripts he kills in the process.

Although the last time the consequences of being sent to the slaughter ended up with a regime change in Russia it didn't end up too well for many.

It's been said that Stalin would have put every man, women and child between him and the Wehrmacht if that's what it took to stop the Nazi's, there's no reason to believe Putin would be all that different (he's already shown he's willing to kill the Russian economy to achieve he's aims).

They were planning to burn the Moscow down if they managed to get through.
If there is anyone thinking that he is going to stop they are very wrong. It will continue until he is dead and then some as there are many that think of russia being mighty power... They were portraying this picture to them for years in the media. It needs for russia to collapse for the war to stop. Even their opposition is not getting that russia must collapse to start changing if it ever happens.

Prigozhyn is being used by FSB to do some dirty work for Poot in. He is allowed to poor dirt onto army generals and whatnot. Poot in is part of FSB and hates the army generals. Poot in still cannot understand that he is being fed **** and they are all are taking a ****. For years he has been deceived by his own and now he has no plan b as his plan of 3 day to Kiev has failed.
The FSB has created these scapegoats to do the dirty work for the regime. In Syria they were providing security for the oil refineries and the oil was sold by Tymchenko, who is Poot ins wallet.
There is another formation called "Redut" but they are rather small and not very known. Although they are also recruiting folk for the war in Ukraine.
 
So apparently (unsure if even true), in Soledar/Soledor.... the AFU withdrew, to let the RF forward 4KM. Then used the mine tunnels to come up from behind them and destroy them.

Now.. Why would they give away seemingly vital intel like this? This makes absolutely no sense to me to be telling the enemy how exactly you screwed them over.

Surely Ukraine aren't dumb enough to do this? more outlandish numbers from Russia?

I'm in favour of realism as much as possible, not seen any evidence to support this strike occurred.

Because it makes the Russians paranoid, not knowing whether they can move or not. keep them wondering where they are and when they will strike.
